wishihad wrote:
HA! I just did a couple listings on the bay. And used a little less to the point option. And also gave paul over at TTP a BUMP. If ya would care to see just search redline mustang. AND if anybody is interested while you can still get any type payment. Ebay is having a 35 cent special for listing with BIN OBO. listed 1 at 175 and 1 at 200 for 35 cents.
HOLY COW! They already got in my listings and ended them!! LOL everybody needs to list something with the unhappy feelings about the new paymentdeal!!

I think Marks almost made it a full day. I was surprised to see it still there this morning...
Ebay finally removed it, but I think some people were unhappy with the picture and thats why its gone, not becasue of ebay slander. STill way to go Mark
Eric
hmm, as soon as i come up with a new picture idea i'll relist it. here is what ebay sent me. they are such idiots

Dear sheer--terror(maddmaxx426@aol.com),

You recently listed the following Fixed Price listing:

190252659034 - COMING SOON NO MORE PAPER PAYMENTS=NAZI EBAY

The listing was removed because it violated the eBay Search and Browse Manipulation policy. The violation occurred when you included the following informationin your listing:

Listed in category: Toys & Hobbies > Diecast, Toy Vehicles > Cars, Trucks-Diecast > Hot Wheels > Vintage (Pre-1980) > Red Line
Unreal, lol, any bs they can make up to end your auction.
Eric
I have to agree with Ed and Sid.
I feel it was wrong using the icon Mark used. Comparing the nazi regime to the way ebay does business is down right disrespectful to many and simply wrong.

I like the idea of paypal being the sole source of payment. I shy away from auctions that don't take paypal. 4% is a small price to pay for the exposureand the world wide market you get from selling items on ebay.

My brother pays more than 6,000 a month lease for his business to operate on the property he leases. Every 30 days baby! Ebay costs much less than that and isa much larger selling audience. For 4%...I will pay it any day of the week.

Using paypal, you get you money much faster and you don't have to wonder when the money order or check was put in the mail. For me, I want my money as fastas I can get it. I have waited up to 4 weeks for some payments to come via snail mail and that is not acceptable. People who don't have a paypal accountcan be sketchy at times because a paypal account at least tells you they have bank account.
Paypal is NOT safe for sellers. If you send an item to an unconfirmed address and the item is lost, the buyergets a full refund and the seller loses the item. So far, only the USA, Canada and the UK has confirmed addresses.

It's not right that paypal will protect a Non-USA customer before a seller in the USA but that is what they do. I sent a box to Mexico and it got lost. The buyer didn't know how to file a claim and of course, I did not tell him. Had he known how to file a claim, I would've lost the money and the item. Not fair.

Also 4% can add up pretty fast. By the way , all of you paypal lovers, what do you think is going to happen to shipping rates once the switch goes over. Shipping is going to more expensive and also starting prices will be higher to cover the rates. Paypal is not free. You may think that it's free but itisn't . Just think about the shipping rates that you have been paying lately.

As for people w/o bank accts. being sketchy at best... who cares? As long as they pay promptly, I don't care what they do. The point is thatPaypal/ebay is forcing sellers to accept paypal and it is going to cost them money. It is also going to be excluding alot of people that do not have paypalaccts. There are millions of people out there that do not have bank accts. for whatever reason. On this alone, I'm surprised that no one has sued paypalfor descrimination.

maribell
Still...the % ebay charges is much less than leasing a building and/or property to run your business with the world as your buyers? Are you kidding me? I thinkit all adds up to 10% or so.

Real business owners wished to the Lord above that 10% was all they had to pay for overhead to run their business. It is absolutely the cheapest way to run abusiness, if you wanna call it that.

If sellers don't like it...sell elsewhere...it really is simple as that.
