Greg, I highly recommend taking a drive to the mountains some time, even if it's only to see snow. I was gonna make a comment about your steamy holiday,but Karen beat me to it (thhhbpt! Karen.. heh)<br><br>There is something so absolutely wonderful about watching snow fall. Seeing an open field all covered in a pristine white blanket, you witness that magic. Oneof my fondest memories of snow was when I was living in Iowa about 12 years ago. I was so excited that I called my family back home in Texas to describe thescene and then took pictures from the roof of the house I was living in. The flakes were so huge... I'd never seen anything like it and like I mentionedelsewhere in this thread, I've seen plenty of snow before. These were different though and my dog had a blast trying to catch them. Some looked like theymust have been 40... maybe 50mm across (over 2 inches).<br><br>Doug - beautiful pictures! Golden Retrievers grow the darker outer hair as they grow up, but they still have the lighter-coloured, downly fluff undercoat.<br><br>Dogs & snow... these are a few of my favourite things.

Nothin' beats walkin' along after midnight on a bright moonlit night deep in the winter in the country! Everything is so bright and twinkly and freshand dead silent! Makes ya think of Silent Night and the other one about Ol' King Wenceszlas! There goes a couple of bunnies! I still want snow, BAD...but today I realized how nice this is...<br><br>Its december, and we went and had icecream and ate it outside today, and I was wearing shorts, something I could have never even contemplated before!
