'64 Impy Gasser
Guys I found these pics on a site this past summer, I think it may have been at a Pomona Cruise-in. I live in Michigan, so don't get to many SoCal shows.Does anyone have better pics and/or info on this awesome beastie?<br><img src="http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z307/stumanfu55/64Impyagain.jpg" alt="image"><p><br></p><img src="http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z307/stumanfu55/64Impy.jpg" alt="image"><p><br></p>

Brew,<br>You snagged that pic from me when I posted them back in August from Tim's photobucket, that's when Tim (HW4life) and I went to the Woodward DreamCruise this summer, how about a larger version of that pic?<br><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v372/HW4LIFE/2007%20Woodward%20Dream%20Cruise/P8180181.jpg" alt="image"><br><br>And while I'm @ it, here are some other gassers from that "score".<br><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v372/HW4LIFE/2007%20Woodward%20Dream%20Cruise/P8180167.jpg" alt="image"><br><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v372/HW4LIFE/2007%20Woodward%20Dream%20Cruise/P8180170.jpg" alt="image"><br><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v372/HW4LIFE/2007%20Woodward%20Dream%20Cruise/P8180166.jpg" alt="image"><br><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v372/HW4LIFE/2007%20Woodward%20Dream%20Cruise/P8180079.jpg" alt="image"><br><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v372/HW4LIFE/2007%20Woodward%20Dream%20Cruise/P8180073.jpg" alt="image"><br><br>This was the Chevy Jimmy Shine did on his show, but we saw the car before the show broadcast, I think it qualifies as mainstream!<br><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v372/HW4LIFE/2007%20Woodward%20Dream%20Cruise/P8180145.jpg" alt="image"><br><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v372/HW4LIFE/2007%20Woodward%20Dream%20Cruise/P8180146.jpg" alt="image"><br>

Gassers are very cool, but I never really understood what their purpose was...<br>Does it help weight transfer to have the front jacked up like that, or is it purely a style thing?

gassers are it very cool pics<br>murray<img src="http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/tongue.gif" alt="image">

you guessed it Adam... helps the weight distribution and since the front end lifts on takeoff... they figured why not eliminate that additional step... rarelysee gassers doing wheelstands!

>>>Does it help weight transfer to have the front jacked up like that, or is it purely a style thing? >>><br><br>Actually gasser classes were based on weight per cubic inch, and the single I-beam front ends were done to reduce front end weight, and aid re-entry after awheelstand.<br><br>Jerry
