Madonna was announced as a <span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1197560281_0" style="BACKGROUND: none transparent scroll repeat 0% 0%; CURSOR: hand; BORDER-BOTTOM: #0066cc 1px dashed">Rock and Roll Hall of Fame</span> inductee on Thursdayalong with <span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1197560281_1" style="CURSOR: hand; BORDER-BOTTOM: #0066cc 1px dashed">John Mellencamp</span>, <span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1197560281_2" style="BACKGROUND: none transparent scroll repeat 0% 0%; CURSOR: hand; BORDER-BOTTOM: #0066cc 1px dashed">TheVentures</span>, <span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1197560281_3" style="BACKGROUND: none transparent scroll repeat 0% 0%; CURSOR: hand; BORDER-BOTTOM: #0066cc 1px dashed">Leonard Cohen</span> and <span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1197560281_4" style="BACKGROUND: none transparent scroll repeat 0% 0%; CURSOR: hand; BORDER-BOTTOM: #0066cc 1px dashed">The Dave Clark Five</span>.<br><br>Wow Madge and Mellencamp got in fast... I love the fact that the the Ventures got in. I saw them in Japan when I was a little kid...they came to play atYokosuka US NAVAL base. I have been a big fan of them since I was about 8 years old...and have a lot of their albums. Walk Don't Run is a classic..alongwith Hawaii Five O theme song ofcourse..but they did a lot of cover versions of classics like Wipe Out and Telestar that were really great pieces of work.<br><br>Ricky Y<br><br>I'm hoping Roxy Music gets in one of these years!
