Check this lightning strike out,

Whoa.....!!! We NEVER get storms like that here in SoCal... my Dad was from Kansas, and he was hit (or very nearly hit) by lightning twice! That's as closeas I'd ever like to come!

Crazy. I remember a tree out in my front yard being hit once, and it was the loudest thing I ever heard. Cool vid.

That reminded me of central Florida. Not uncommon to have 8000 lighting strikes in one hour. Absolutely constant. Thanks for sharing!

I was in Iowa once during a lightning storm but wow that one is something else..............

dang!!! i felt the hair on my neck sizzle!!!! when i was little lightning hit the door bell and blew the inside cover off the wall, and when i was teenagerlightning struck the well pump pipe...fried the pump!! two different houses...talk about LOUD!!
