Ebay question for you in the know.....

I was wondering what is the return policy on ebay. I sold an item and they say they made a mistake and thought it came in a box and it didnt. I never statedwether it did or didnt come in 1, so I am wondering if I have to accept it back or not?<br><br>Thanks for your help

Let them know that they pay the return fees and also that you will deduct the fees that Ebay charged you. Also let themknow that in the future, they should NOT assume and should ask questions. ALSO MAKE SURE THAT THEY RETURN THE SAME EXACT ITEM TO YOU IN THE SAME EXACTCONDITION. <br><br>I have had a few clowns try and return an item that they claimed was reproduction when I knew it was orginal. If the item didn't show a box in the ad, I would assume there wasn't one (if it wasn't stated either way).<br><br>I would reply to the buyer stating just that .... the ad did not indicate the original box was included because there isn't one - you should have askedprior to bidding.<br><br><br>Mark.

As long as there was no box shown in the pictures, and the description did not say one way or another, in my opinion you should not have to take it back.

Ebay now requires a return policy on all auctions. You set it once and it will show the sellers' preference in ALL auctions. Again, you decide what youwant to do. In this age of buyers giving negatives, you decide. Personally, I would NOT take the damn thing back especially if I see that the buyer alsosells. (I would have an outlet to avenge a negative if they sell too....) I am sick and tired of idiot ebayers and Ebay should require some sort of readingand/intelligence test as a criteria for joining.<br><br>I would write to buyer and let them know that they cannot assume when they see auctions. Obviously, if there were a box, a good seller would also take a photoof the box. Now if they give you a line that it's a collectible and it's worth more with the box,you can respond with , Well if I had the <a href="mailto:%24#@%">$#@%</a> box , I would've taken a picture of it and I would've started the auction at a much higher price.<br><br>maribell

i offered a seller to return a item to me and i would do a a full refund less shipping cost , he choose to keep the item for a small refund .He them proceededto give me a negative feed back , you can not win with some of these looser that use ebay

I'm going to make a prediction. The buyer files with Paypal and they require you to take it back regardless of what you decide.

Thanks so much guys. I ended up refunding her minus the fees,including a fixed fee from paypal that it doesnt refund on partials.She mailed that sucker backthe next day so I figured less hassel.<br><br>Thanks again
