Cars You Wish You Wish You Had Kept!

No pics, I feel my blood pressure rise as I type this, but, I had a '64 Chevy Impala SS CONVERTIBLE, black top, light blue paint, black interior w/buckets,283 w/Powerglide tranny, dual exhausts in high school!. Bought it in 1974 when I was 16 for $140, sitting under a tree in a cul-de-sac out on Long Island-mydad turned me on to it. Repainted it, stripped off all the trim (can you say MORON?), and sold it to an undeserved bozo for $400 (why is there no crying iconhere???). The kid I sold it to complained that it had a bad vacuum modulator in the tranny! Hot Wheels just issued a mainline that looks IDENTICAL minus theragtop for '10. I bought one and colored the roof black with a magic marker. Where's that bottle of tequila? There are more cars, but this one needs tobe dealt with internally solo first.<br>

1959 BMW 600, matching numbers with European-issue lights and bumpers. Actually, I'm glad that I sold it because it just wasn't very much fun to drive,but it sure looked nice and that flat-twin was a sweetie. I guess I regret selling my '61 Ranchero; original silver/white/red vinyl interior. I too had a 64 Impala SS, but not a convertible. It was a 'hardtop" and was a beautiful burgundy with black interior, it had reversed chrome wheelswith baby moons. I bought it 1971 for $800. Same drive train as yours The 283 had problems, so I bought a 327 engine out of a corvette and installed that. Itwas a freak, a real sleeper, I beat cars that I should not have been able to beat.<br><br>Back when I first started driving (1963) you could buy cars for next to nothing. And most people did not even have insurance. I once bought a 56 ford for $10.I remember buying a 47 chevy stylemaster for $50. Also a sweet 54 chevy for $35. I paid a $100. for a 54 studebaker station wagon 2 door. My father gave me a51 ford, that was all tricked out. It had green and white tuck and roll interior. I bought a 64 MG Midget for $50. I had a Borg Ward, and Hillman manx, and a56 Renualt.<br><br>I could go on and on, I've probably had close to 100 cars. Some nice, some junk and everything in between, But my favorite, funnest, car of all time wasmy beautiful, black, Jeep CJ-5. I was single at the time, and living in So Cal. I'm too yung to of had any muscle cars or anything cool, but from seeing some of my dads pictures I wish he would have kept his plymouth superbird. Itslong gone now but if I ever come across a lot of money I am going to the barret jackson car auctions and buying one.

77 Trans Am 400 4 speed bandit package. Bought it in 1990 when I was 17. Car was way faster than I expected it to be. Made some good dough racing 5.0 Lmustangs (everyone and their grandmother had one at the time)Had t-tops , 8 track and CB and it all worked. Sold it in 99 when my first son was born. The guy Isold it to wrapped it around a tree a couple of months later.
