The Venting Thread
Sorry if one already exists, but I thought I 'd start one.

If I see "shinny" base in one more ebay redline listing I will implode. Seeing common words misspelled drives me nuts. Okay I feel betternow.

-John
As a grammar nazi myself, I agree. The problem is so rampant, though, that after a point you just have to chuckle and say to yourself, "It's thatdarn internet again." And maybe, the car's base has been rubbed across one's lower legs to polish it with gleam.

I'm more likely to vent about traffic. What the #&*% good is it to turn on a turn signal during the turn? By then I know the car's turning, Ineeded to know a few seconds earlier!
Can I join your "shinny" rant, and add "edgeware"?

The real "grit-my-teeth-and-suppress-a-primal-scream", for me, is "I've got these cars for sell," and "I'm going to sale thesecars."

But Dave is right... if that's the worse thing that happens to me today, then it's still a darn good day.

Some others to add to the list: "tonning"; "knicks"; "rivots".

And by the way it still kills me that many people refer to them as "rivets" in the first place!

And add another agreement to Dave's point...

Im with Phil on this one with the turn signal. LOL

And Dave does these kind of rants in his sleep!!!!

I see shinny so often that I concluded it is an American spelling of shiny. In a similiar vein to lite as opposed to light.---mike
