Considering one for commuting and short fun rides. Not looking for a long distance cruiser.
Buell's look cool, but HD is going to stop making them. Ducati's are cool, but I'm guessing they are expensive.
Looking for opinions from the moto guys on the board.

Nothin beats a Harley for being seen and heard which is pretty important when riding on the street. Plus you don't have the tendency of riding "over your head" and playing road racer which leads to alot of mishaps. The bike market right now is way down and you can pick up whatever you want very reasonable if you look around. Just my two cents. Jeff
I gotta agree on the Harley's as that would be my first choice but I've owned two Honda's & they were great bikes as well. I also love the look of the Ducati's......sick looking bikes! I don't think you could go wrong with any of the other makes out there....they're still in buisiness so they must be doing something right.

Motorcycles are HONDA baby!!!! I have an 05 Honda Rune....1832cc's, six cylinder, bigger, longer, (that's what SHE said) heaver, wider, faster and anything else a Harley mini-bike can bring you and? I'm coast-to-coast baby..... I've done em' all............ I pulled next to a Harley Road King last week and he said "WTF is that thing"??? I said, "It is GOD over that mini-bike brah!!!"
I think resale value says it all. I wish I had a dime for every time I've had this conversation. There are no winners, good points on each side but in the end its resale value. Harley will always sell higher.
BS.............................. You still have to ride and maintain it and when that is factored in HD is CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Honda = ride, HD = broke broke down or trailered.
What does that mean, you have to ride and maintain it? Do you not have to ride and maintain any bike?

As mentioned, there's not a bad bike made today but I love the look & sound of a Harley. Every other manufacture has tried to duplicate it's styling & sound at one time or another but there's nothing more distinguishable than the real thing. That's one beautiful ride you got there Greg. :thumbup1:
