Re: Lets talk Cheeseburgers
Went to Amarillo, Texas and had a buffalo burger that was great! And fat burger couldn't touch it. But in long beach, ca there's a joint called big mikes and they offer a big mikes burger, 13 ounces of meat cooked to order, with a hot link on top, comes with fries and a coke for just a little over $6.00 fat burger can't touch it
Re: Lets talk Cheeseburgers
I think the Eastern Burger your talking about is Whitecastle which is good for what it is but does not even come close to being in the "Best Burger Catagory". We have a Fat Burger here in Virginia, tasted pretty good, but never went back after the first time. I think the fries were better than the burger. I honestly think 5 Guys has the best one hands down..... besides the ones I make in my backyard!!!!!!:chef::chef::tt2:

Ah, the return of a favorite subject. Gotta recommend as favorite The Vortex in Atlanta.

A close second is Phil's Grill (no relation) in New Orleans. Very cool, you design your own burger by checking boxes on a paper menu.

Among chains, I was enthused about Backyard Burgers but ultimately disappointed. They tried to grow too fast and stumbled, at least locally. At least they led this Angus theme that's so popular right now. For quality, consistency and price, I really like the "Six Dollar Burger" ($4.25) at Hardee's, no sides necessary to be a fully satisfying meal. On my last stop at a Burger King I noticed a couple of burgers reaching into the $7+ range! Haven't tested that yet, curious though. Five Guys is excellent but only an occasional treat. I'd like to try In-N-Out Burger and Fatburger when I have a chance to head out west, I've heard nothing but good things.
Re: Lets talk Cheeseburgers
I like 5 Guys and In-N-Out Burgers about the same.
We have a couple of local joints (Austin,Tx) called Mighyt Fine (a little pricey) and Dan's which are good.
I guess if I had to make a choice it would be IN-N-OUT.
Now I'm hungry:p
Re: Lets talk Cheeseburgers
I'm an In-N-Out fan. I like the idea of fresh. I've never been to a Fatburger even though there's one up the streep from my shop. I just never think of it come lunch time. I'll have to give them a try.

Re: Lets talk Cheeseburgers
On the Eastcoast Whitecastle has good burgers (dbl cheeseburger) if youre comparing them to Burger King and the other fastfood chains.
If youre talking about the best freshmade burgers 5 Guys wins hands down.
