R.I.P. JIM MARSHALL - Marshall Amps

Today is a sad day in the music industry, Jim Marshall the founder of Marshall Amplification since 1962 has passed away at the age of 88. He is legend in creating the "SOUND OF ROCK". Rock in Peace Mr. Jim Marshall. I am stoked to have met him and many times talking with him at the NAMM shows in LA, CA.

This is my MARSHALL JCM 800 100watt, it ROCKS with BIG sound and I will be turning it up for Jim today.

That is a Great pic Jack that you posted, it is PRICELESS!!
I used a 100w 2X12 Combo back in the 80's that sounded Great, you can sorta see it in the pic...

Drew that is a rockin cool photo of you with the Marshall and a Charvel, EMG pu?, I also had a JCM 800 combo amp in the early 80s that rocked, it was a 50watt 2x12.

Thanks Jack....That guitar is a Charvel/Jackson with a Jackson PU in it...I still have it stashed away. I think I bought it around '88, sounded Nasty! It was a nice change from the Gibson's..
I am sure you agree, The Good 'ol Days sure were FUN!

Ok, we have get together at the next Calif Conv., bring your axe and small amp, I'll bring my axe and mini Marshall half stack and we will jam some rockin tunes, also could bring a few extra mini amps, Fender twin and a Vox AC 30.

I dig the Charvel Drew, is that a Model 1? I still have a minty 1988 Charvel Model 3 in pearl white which has aged to a creamy yellow. I mainly play my Gibson's but lately the Charvel has seen a lot of use
