John, I think today Ebay put their new feedback thingy in effect..........Mine went from 1201-- 99.9% with one neg to 1309 --100%......
Yep, my eBay feedback count did change as well.

Mine was 179 and 100%, and still is.
Maybe if you had some neg's, the count increases to get you back to 100% under the new system? So does that mean EVERYONE is now 100%?

Mine went from 255 100% to 299 100% in the last day.......
My numbers went up too. What I don't understand is why? Is it because selling multiple items to one buyer now gets me more feedback? For example, Irecently sold a bunch of old comic books. One buyer bought 8 of them and left me positive feedback for all 8. Do I now get 8 new feedbacks or just 1 like inthe past?

Bob Jordan
Yes, last night my feedback rating was 671 with a 99.8% positive rating and today it went to 716 with a 100% positive rating. Good thing I guess?
Bob, I don't think that's the case. Mine didn't change and I've sold multiple redlines to the same buyer before.
Looks like if you have had nothing but positive feedbacks left for you in the past 12 months with at least a 99.8% positive rating then your feedback ratinghas jumped up to those positives you recieved in the last 12 months and your positive percentage jumping up to 100% reflecting all the positive feedbacks yourecieved in the last 12 months.
Milo.......check those numbers........Go play 617 boxed!..........HJ
eBay put two major changes into effect. Your percentage rating is now based only on the feedback you've received in the last twelve months. Anythingolder than that is ignored. Your feedback score now includes repeat feedback from the same person as long as it was not within the same week. If you go toyour feedback page and click on the "See what's new" and "How is Feedback Percentage calculated" links near the top of the page, everything is explained.

Kevin
go figure, mine went down due to retalitory feedback.2 nuetrals & a negative.now mine sits at 98.1. what a load of crap, ebay just really doesn't careabout somebody giving a feedback in retaliation.the only negs i have come from sellers giving one back & the only nuetrals i have are from buyers thatcan't seem to read.oh well,i don't really care what it reads as i am going to continue just as i always have.
Only sellers are permitted to leave anything other than a positive under the new system. No retaliatories from sellers anymore. The higher FB numbers arebecause eBay has gone back to 1996 and included multiples from the same person in the new numbers. My number jumped from 481 to 513. Here I thought it wasbecause some sellers finally left me FB... not so lucky. Still doesn't do anything about the non feedbackers who never left anything.
CS
Great...Now ebay feedback is headed down the same road as the USD.

Instead of the Fed cutting interest rates, thus injecting more dollars into the economy and decreasing the real value of the existing dollars, you now haveeBay not only giving away positive feedback, but taking away negative feedback as well.

IMHO they did noting but devalue the integrity of the feedback system.

~Joe
I lost 40 positives for some reason, but moved to 100%, when it used to be 99.7%.
I'm not too happy about the new "feedback" system. Both sides should be allowed to leave a negative. Period.

mine jumped pretty big... was 100% all along, but went from a 622 to a 690... tripped me out fer sure!
Yoiks ! I jumped from 99.7% to 100% also !!!

I just hope they didn't remove the negs I left for the -heads--of- ... um, customers I dealt with that deserved it !

Sincerely, Steve *hwdv8*

Well, I lost my 100%.

Apparently neutrals are now counted in your overall score.

I have 99.5% with 2,647 feedbacks (667 in the past 12 months). That's the lowest I have ever been. No negatives but 3 neutrals. One was legit (I forgot toinclude something in the shipment) but the other two were silly. I guess it could be worse.
200 100% to 236 100% yea ??!!

The feedback changes suck. Yet again eBay screws the sellers. As if the fee changes weren't bad enough.

The new system is getting to be about as complicated as the US tax code. I logged on earlier and noticed the change in my feedback number (buyers with numerouspurchases in the same week) but didn't notice I'm back at 100%. Hah! Take that, schmuck seller who left me a retaliatory neg for my neutral!

Woo, that felt good hehehe. Them losing their account was one thing, but my 100% back again, sweet!

The odd part is, Meg left the company fourth quarter of last year, but someone's still coming up with goofy ideas. I don't know if it's the newcheese, though. He said in an interview not long after signing on with eBay how little he thinks of eBay buyers and sellers. What a tool.
Hi

Mine changed a bit also.

And

I think most of us who sell on ebay are not too happy about the changes regarding feedback left for buyers.

Jeff
Yup, mine jumped a couple hundred as well, not sure if I like the new system, but time will tell, Brian
Mine went from 4420 to 5083. My percentage dropped from 99.9 to 99.8 . I got a negative this year because the post office lost apackage and the winner was an idiot and didn't know how to get her money back from paypal despite the fact that I emailed her and explained it to her..... Thanks Ebay, I can now get justice..

I can see Ebay making more changes to the feedback system in the future. Buyers can NOT getaway with not paying for their auctions. Basically what Ebayhas done is if you have a grudge against someone , you can give them a negative and nothing will happen to the bidder. People are going to abuse this. Ebay has opened up a Pandora's box . They have created more problems than they have solved.

Maribell
Mine went from 618 @ 100% to 688 @ 100%. Here's the equation they used to reach the total:

+ / =

Just more reasons to sell your Hot Wheels here.
Basing the feedback on the past 12 months is not bad. I wish that they had kept the other chart up too. Anyway, if a buyer/seller hada few negatives when they first started, it doesn't show up now. Does it really matter that a seller got a negative 10 years ago for whatever reason or abidder didn't pay for something 8 years ago? It's more important to view their recent activity. But the overall feedback should still be there forall to see especially in cases where the Ebayer doesn't have that many feedbacks in the last year. Give us the original chart with the TOTAL FEEDBACKrecord.

I think that it is a good idea to count the feedbacks from repeat customers /sellers. This was long overdue. When I first got on ebay, I hated to bidfrom a seller that I had already bought from. My goal when I first started on Ebay was to establish feedback inorder to get great feedback inorder to startselling. So in many instances, I actually looked for sellers that I hadn't bought from inorder to bid.

Those of you who had their percentage drop a bit, remember that this is for the last 12 months. If you keep getting positives, eventually the percentage willgo up.

Anyway, I'm sure that ebay will continue to make changes in the feedback system in the future. This not giving negatives to buyers is not going to worklike they want it to. You can already defeat this policy if your deadbeat is also a seller. Just bid on one of their items and don't pay and give them anegative. They won't be able to return it.

maribell

I've only had 34 sales in the last twelve months and out of those 34, I got ONE neutral (never have had ANY negatives). With the new way of calculations,my feedback went from 100% down to 97.1 because of that ONE neutral !!!

Neutrals never used to count against you - NOW they do !!! If you don't sell much, even one neutral can really kill your percentage in a hurry !!!

Mark.
Neutrals shouldn't count at all..Mark , bid on a few auctions and win something and increase the percentage. Buy a cd or something inexpensive that youneed. MARK , PLEASE READ THE YUKU MESSAGE THAT I JUST SENT you.

maribell
Nobody is going to care that you have one nuetral. Feedback is now mostly irrelevant.

1Perry wrote:
Nobody is going to care that you have one nuetral. The only thing worth seeking out were the negs and many of those were retaliatory...one bad apple giving negs toeveryone s/he dealt with because s/he screwed them over and got negged by all of them.

Joel.

[Edit] I need to edit that to make more sense. It wasn't just one person giving out negs. But I could see a lot of people with negs having received themfrom the same buyer/seller. Then another person would have a neg, and investigating it find that the person who gave the neg had done so to a large number ofpeople as reataliation. I hope that makes sense. I'm going to the bar to get drunk. Maybe when I get back I'll be able to process thoughts better.
^^^ Yeah, do that. lol
