I have been emailing ebay every day tellingthem their policy's are bs and that someday this crap will come to an end, lol. I hope their will be ways not to use paypal or electronic crap, becauseIstill like good ole money orders and checks, to HELL with PAYPAL. This Ebay gustopo crap needs to end.
Eric

Again, I love it Mark What happended to good oldAmerica
My question...Why isn't this a FEATURED Auction????
Maybe this Ebay thing will turn around and bite them in the ass!
We need more people like Mark to show how they feel about Ebay.
Dave.

My question...Why isn't this a FEATURED Auction????
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....HHHHHHHHMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM....

Maybe when that one gets yanked, someone else can do one? Featured is another $20 isn't it? If eBay pulls the auction, they refund the fees? Right?

Exactly Earl, I would pitch in to cover some of it, we need this bay under the featured auction, good point Earl, someone needs to email Mark about this, andtell him. I will pitch in and I am sure others will too. Dave, exactly the point also.
Eric
WAY TO GO MARK, LETS MAKE IT A FEATURED AUCTION, I WILL CHIP IN.
Eric
I am going to be the odd man out here and very respectfully disagree with Mark. Ebay is a for profit entity that can choose to legally conduct it'sbusiness as it sees fit.
Mark is entitled to not do business with EBAY and in fact I believe he plans to take his business over to The ToyPeddler. The primary difference between Ebay and the comparison to Nazis is that EBAY does not have a gun to anyone's head forcing them to do business withthem. We have choices.

If we feel any business has prices or policies that are excessive or unfair we can go elsewhere. That is the good news about living in a free country with afree market economy.
So we need to Boycott Ebay folks.
Eric
They tried to do this in Australia earlier this year but have had to put it on hold.
I can't actually remember why they couldn't do it but I believe it is going through our legal system.
Money orders and bank transfers are still a valid option here in Australia.

Dave

I too agree with Sid. And on a side note - I am all for fun believe you me,however with having family killed by the Nazis I feel using the "SS" and comparing eBay to the Nazis is in bad taste. Besides, I really doubt any ofus are going to be killed by eBay. With that said, I do agree that is a bunch of BS but eBay is private and can conduct practices as they see fit - whetherthey are the right thing to do is a different story.

Later,

Ed

Wow, you just can't say anything on this site without someone taking personal offense to it! Lighten up people!!

And as far as ebay goes, the diecast collectible market is such a tiny persentage of the business they do. We could all boycott and it would make zerodifference to them.
Hey jamwood1 - You are treading on some very thin ice - watch what you say. When it comes to Nazis and some of my family being killed by them, I take itpersonally. I did state I like to have fun but Nazis are a sore subject and in bad tatse. Nothing against Mark at all from me - it's just about tact whenyou are in the public arena.

Later,
Ed
Who do you thnk you're talking to, your dog???? You obviously need to lighten up! I also had family killed by the Nazis, but taking personal offense tosomeone comparing a huge company to a WWII era political party is silly. No one was talking about you or your family.

Woof.

If ebay is there for profit why do they choose to cut out some customers? Paypal is the way to go for the buyers, payment is made asap!! and you don't haveto worry about it getting lost. and they do get lost go to the wrong place and so on and so on and so on. With paypal it's as good as gold and the paymentis there fast fast fast!! and you get your goods fast fast fast. I have never had a problem with it and I knock on wood. I feel for those that don't use itfor what ever reason but the truth is it's the way the world is going. there are stores now that don't even take checks and good for them. Checks arefast becoming so out dated the only ones that use them are people that steal and Seniors.
That is the truth Dan. People are upset because ebay is the one making the money off the paypal transactions, but in reality it is the safest choice for thebuyer and the seller. Instant payment and protection if the person doesn't ship your purchase.
Its all about the extra charge, who likes paying 3- 3.5 percent on money they recieve? If your doing hundreds and hundreds of dollers or thousands even, ittakes a big chunk out of your money, but that's ok? for what, to receive money faster, big whooppppp. I like good ole fashioned money orders !!!! It'sbad enough you lose your azz on the listing and final value fees, let alone all the paypal bs.
Eric
It is not the safest payment method, money order with signature confirmation is exactly the same, paypal don't guarentee that if you get ripped off, theywill cover you.
Eric
Well, the bigger sellers are set up to take credit cards directly, but they pay for that service as well. If you want to take payments from debit or creditcards, someone is making a cut I guess.
I am just talking about the regular joe that might sell a 200 or 2000 redline, they deserve to loose 200- 300 dollers because of paypal and a extra 150 on ebayfees, it is a huge scam and monopoly.
Eric
Ok!! That's cool, to each there own, I for one don't sell much if at all so it's great for me. And when I do sell I like to sell here cuz it'sfree and we still take money orders and checks here at rlol so there you go problem solved if you want to sell for free and take checks and money orders sellhere, but just so you know I did buy a $50 dollar car here and sent a money order and the seller never sent the car and just poof was gone and I was not theonly one here that got ripped off by him. So no one is 100% safe anywhere. So that said, I will only buy from people I know or that live close so if theydon't send my car or cars I can go lump them up!!
Lol, Yep Dan, I totally like to sell on here before anything, just to give rol members a good deal and first opportunity on them. Plus it is alot easier on roland members here are open to any kind of payment. Then I go to ebay. Some cars that I sell for other people, I have to put on ebay, and that's what I amtalking about getting ripped off on, ebay and paypal. I just think ebay and paypal are bs.
Eric
<strike>EBAY</strike> RIP !!!!!!!!!

AL
mmmm... bananaaaaaaaaaaaa
well i agree with both sides. Its their company, they can do what they want. But on the other hand, if its freedom to choose, then we should be able to choosethe method of payment we are sending. Ebay is just pissed that people use money order, because it cuts them out of millions of dollars. Using paypal they getALL the money. LISTING FEES, FINAL VALUE FEES, And then PAYPAL FEES! How much feakin money do they need????????? Final answer>>> If ya dont likeit dont use it. If we have forgotten, we can sell here for FREE. With any form of payment we choose.
, I think you have the freedom to accept any kind ofpayment we wish. pay pal endded one of my auction few months ago because i mentioned I accept cash!!!!. someone need to kik their A** big time.

the truth is, Ebay became so big world wide that they can dectad what they want. do you think if a 1000 wbay users will stop it would make a deffirance?. theyknow so many people got addicted to it .

we need political pressure to force them change it.

Raed

HA! I just did a couple listings on the bay. And used a little less to the point option. And also gave paul over at TTP a BUMP. If ya would care to see justsearch redline mustang. AND if anybody is interested while you can still get any type payment. Ebay is having a 35 cent special for listing with BIN OBO.listed 1 at 175 and 1 at 200 for 35 cents.
Aside from the fees. I know several people who have been scammed by buyers, Items have been sent out and the person just claims they never got the item andfile a claim with paypal and in EVERY case except one. the buyer wins and the seller is refunded. I have seen cases from him where he had the Post officereceipts and they still favored for the buyer. Just for that reason alone i will never take paypal.

All a buyer has to do is say it never arrived and boom they win the case and paypal freezes your acct or takes the money out of it.

I am all for ebay running the co. anyway they choose but its gone too far.
