Can't voice an opinion?

Kinda of sad, when the admims deleted my post with a link showing kids singing a certain song on 'U-Tube' about our pres? So much for livingin a 'free' country? By the way, our admins do an awesome job here but sometimes I just don't get why certain things aren't allowed here in a'Life Beyond Redlines Forum'? It's been way too heated here in the past when we had an open reign to have our "discussions" but turned into outright ugly name calling andfighting when expressing our differences. I'm guilty as the next guy/gal in participating. This site is here for enjoyment of our favorites hobby/hobbiesand other interests non political and non sexual, etc. I know what you posted as it's been the talk of talk radio today. I found the video disturbing to say the least. The outrage would have been just asevident if it would have been any other President that the kids were singing about, especially the last one<img src="http://www.ezboard.com/image/posticons/pi_freak.gif" alt="image"> There are other Yuku forums specifically designed for everyone's interest, search and you'll see. If you are concerned about the direction of the USA and are a right winger like myself, yuku me for a very friendly site to feed your need of politics,it's very informative and you can let it fly, because that is it's design... There ain't no place like here, or you all wouldn't be here now, would you? Not sure who deleted your post, but I've checked out the link and it was the right thing to do. You've been around for a while, but don't postmuch, so I suppose it's possible that you've missed the past confrontations? Regarding your "free country" query, that's been answered already. Free speech, private message board, two very different things. Don'tconfuse them. That you don't agree with the policy? Get in line - it's a long one, and it's full of people who can't keep it in check and who are unable todiscuss anything without turning it into a schoolyard brawl. Some people love that stuff. Most here, however, do not. We don't advocate for eitherpolitical party, despite some people's claims to the contrary. We just try to keep the peace. Thanks to all for your input & opinions as it's always absorbed by me. We can all agree to disagree and voice, within the guidelines here, in a civilmanor even though our insides may boil with disagreement or whatever. I love this site and have met a lot of awesome people and will make sure to think twicebefore posting. I know and hopefully people know, that it's nothing personal as with all of you, it's just an opinion and after all, we are mostlyAmericans who love this nation as well as caring for its welfare, direction, & future. ^I wouldn't exactly make the comment, we're mostly Americans on this site. When the 3 stupid topics that were taken OFF the board, was because adults(here) failed show respect towards another with a differing viewpoint, sexuality, etc. It's the same exact reason, that friends know what to talk aboutwith each other and what not to talk about with each other. That's been around, as long as I can recall, and decades later, it's still par. This placeis far better without it, than with it. Freedom of speech has a place, and it's not on a hobby website, where we share a common interest in the best toysever made-and not much else.........

Try playing a shooter like Halo3 or Gears of War on Xbox Live. Nasty? You'd be effing SHOCKED at what comes out of the mouths of the world's players, not just the youth. (Mostly North American / Europe). It's the anonymity thing - cyber balls. Keyboard courage. Racist, sexist, vulgar, violent, threatening, annoying, just the most vile garbage you can possibly imagine and then a few notches beyond that too. It makes the nastiest, most argumentative thread we've EVER had on RLOL seem positively friendly. Yup... in psychology they call it "individuated behavior" - it's absolutely stunning the things people will do, or say, when they feel isolatedand feel pretty safe that there will be no immediate personal repercussion. Same reason for things like "road rage". And while, on the one hand, it makes me kinda' sad that this type of rule must be made because of the minority of folks who can't seem to have adiscussion about any sensitive issue without getting personal, on the other hand, I really abhor all the nastiness, and also really appreciate this Forum andthe folks who inhabit it. So all in all I'm really glad the rule is in place, and also appreciate the volunteer moderator's good will, which I too havetested from time to time.

What gets me is that Americans think that since we refer to this country as a "FREE" country most dont understand that everyones right stop as soonas they infringe on someone elses. As for free speech that is limited too. We all have rules in this country and if we dont follow them we get in trouble andthe same goes here. I havent had alot of problems here but a few years ago I did with someone worse than anything I have seen from Dave and Scott ( are we surethey are 2 different people? LOL). I also say thanks to the moderators for their hard work and I try real hard myself not to discuss Politics or Religion asarent they the reason for most wars?
