Back from LA and a new car in the garage....

...at least for a day anyway! I swapped my Avalanche with my brother in law for his Tahoe, so I could haul more stuff to LA. When I called today to swap thetrucks back, he tells me he has to go on a road trip tomorrow, and needs me to take his car to the window tint shop tomorrow.. so I can't get my Avalanche,I have to get his car instead.. We had 1 dealership tell us 4 months.. went to another, ordered and got it in just over 3 weeks... The only performance complaint I have about it is the brakes.. of course it is a bit rainy today , so that doesnt help... but the brakes just don't grablike they should. Takes a while to stop it in comparison to my M3, of course it weighs more too.. but the brakes should be made to compensate for that. Hopefully tomorrow will be dry so I can get the true test of them...

I wanted to order a 2LT /RS my way and did. The thing is that out this way people are paying over list even to do that. I ordered mine over a month ago and wastold then that delivery would be February. It's OK though because I'm in no rush, They can deliver it in April for all I care, In fact I would preferit. because it'll probably snow in Feb the day I go to get it.....<img src="http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/laugh.gif" alt="image">

Dodge did a better job on the Challenger and Ford didn't do too bad on the Mustang. Chevy could of did way better on the Camaro. They are growing on me themore I see them but it still could of been better. Enjoy it while you have it! Tim

He had it made to order also, and got it for sticker. The dealerships out here are selling them for sticker if you order them, but if they are on the lotalready, tey are marking them up $6000... As for the challenger.. not my cup of tea at all.. it looks ugly to me, and the new mustang is the worse of the 3 IMO... but to each thier own

Camaros ............Not really retro. Not bad looking but not retro. Plus.......they are getting very, very common. Around here.......Fort Worth, TX., I see 25of them to every Challenger.........already! and they just came out! Mustangs........I love them but they are even more common. My daughter owns an 09 DeepWater Blue Challenger........and I tell you.......wherever she goes, and when I had it for awhile, wherever I went, I got thumbs up, kudos, and people circlingme at the gas pump. It (in my opinion) is THE MOST RETRO and drop dead gorgeous. I'm 52 years old and I never thought I would say this, but I like its'looks better than the 70's versions. Arggggggggh! I just got missed by a lightning bolt!

Bruce, I remember the post of her Challenger. Wasn't it a graduation or going to college gift? I do like the Challenger best but I am a chevy guy and would love a new camaro. What do you think a retro vette would look like? 65/67 era. Tim

Yes Tim.........She got a full ride to college so my "deal" to her 4 years ago was......"you pay for school and Dad buys you a newMustang". Well, it morphed! Hey, I wouldn't mind the Camaro one bit. I wish the front end and the rear would do the "side" justice. The sidelooks somewhat retro like a 69, but the front reminds me of a Cadillac and the rear.......well....it looks like a rip-off of a Vette. Speaking of theVette......I think a Retro Vette would have to go back to the Stingray from 63 to 67. I loved the clean lines of the 67. I need to post some pics of her with that Challenger. The DWB color is to die for. Next to platinum color , it's very rare. Here's something Ididn't know until recently........I am a member of the best Challenger Bulletin board and somebody posted the numbers. Including orders for the 2010 modelyear cars, there are just over 2500 Challengers in existence! Now I know why you don't see them very often. I think they did great on all 3 of them. They all have hints of their roots yet are nice, modern renditions. It just comes down to personal opinion as to whichone you like the best, but I don't think any of them "suck".

I am not a Ford person at all,never owned one but i would take the Super Snake over any of them. If the Challenger sat lower it would look much better forsure.

Consumer Reports says Mustang has 5.5" of Ground clearance, while theChallenger has 5".
