*UPDATE>Anyone know if Jeff Schlicht still does restos?

I figured this would be the forum to see if anyone knows if Jeff Schlicht still does restos? I believe he was the creator of the original Redline Body Shop that was a site around the mid to late 90's. I found a new Redline Body Shop but there aren't any names of who is associated with it, so I was just wondering. Thanks!

That would be the man Mark! Does some of the best work that I've ever seen on these castings & was way ahead of his time.....probably considered the 'god father' of redline restorations. I have a Custom louvered stang he did for me in purple & it is amazing. Wish I could find him. Jeff is long gone from the resto game. I had him do a lot of cars for me. Toward the end he became very burnt out with it. Not seen anything about him in along time.

Jeff turned away from the hobby over 10 years ago. He has not surfaced since. He was spending more time with his kids, and had to focus more on his business.
 
I still hold what he did in high regard. He was a pioneer in the restoration of Redlines, and really helped create the hobby that has grown considerably in the last 10 years.
 
While my site talks about restorations, I really only have it up as a placeholder. As you may not know, Jeff never owned the RedlineBodyShop URL. When it became available, I grabbed it and am holding it for him! LOL!
 
If you are interested in having more cars restored, I highly recommend using RedlineShop.com. They are the ultimate supply resource for the hobby, and they offer great restoration services at reasonable prices.

Boy, word travels fast on this board! LOL! 
While it is true that Jeff burnt out on the restoration thing, it's important to note why. Since he was the first one out there in the public eye doing it, he was constantly badgered with questions on how to restore redlines. He wanted to restore cars, and got dragged into the explanation business. 
Jeff did a bunch of cars for me in 1997-99. I'll never forget his reaction to one particular restoration. When he received it, he thought something was odd about it. After it was done, he asked me what was up with it. When I told him it was a rare prototype he almost lost it! The truth is, it was a beater and it was much less interesting to me as a beater than a restored car. 
If Jeff saw the restoration work that is going on these days, he would be floored. The level of execution now is really high. Sure there are some charlatans out there, but man alive, the good ones are great!

Tony....thanks for adding to post and as I mentioned to you, Jeff's work was outstanding & the work he did for me is the best of the best in a custom mustang I have ever seen....& I have more than a few of these. Just curious if he still is into redlines in a hobby sense or if he just lost all interest in it?

Yea. Would have been cool to see the before and after pics. And 20 bucks for a restore???? Times have changed. This guy should get back into the hobby.
