RIP Cookie. He was a great great guy and will be sadly missed.
R.I.P. my prayers and condolences for his family and all that were touched by him
My condolences to Cookie's Family and Friends. I'm sure he was a great friend of many. I read he had a firm handshake, with a straight in the eye look when he did it. That tells a lot about him right there. I also read he would wear shirts at conventions of things that were bothering him at the time. LOL Funny guy too I'm sure. I wish I could have met him! :(
Thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family. I didn't know him but it sounds like he touched alot of people. RIP Cookie!!
My condolences, he my rest in peace

Very sorry to hear of such a great loss to this community, and especially his family. I met him and his wife once in Tulsa, and he was kind and interesting to talk to. R.I.P Cookie
Wow - devistating to hear. He will be missed. He and I spent many hours talking things other than Redlines and had a passion for sure. RIP!
My prayers go to his family. RIP.

RIP Cookie! he was an awesome guy, we talked for hours about Redlines and his stories were the best! i never got to see all his " toys " in his attic but he had a gleam in his eyes when he talked about them, gonna miss him!
He was a wacky guy. His T-Shirt he wore to all the LA Conventions would always make me chuckle. He also used to frequent the local Alpine Village Swap Meet here in Torrance. Always cool to swap a redline score story or two with him. Prayers to his family in this time....
[B]Cookie Lind will be greatly missed, my first time to Frank 'N Sons was over a decade ago, seems like yesterday and he was one of the seller's there that I always wanted to return too each time I visited, his warmth and generosity was 10 fold, enjoyed your stories, jokes and Mattel history, R.I.P. my friend.

I only met him once years ago either in Virginia, Detroit, or Cincinatti at a convention. Had a good conversation with him, he seemed to be a very nice person. My prayer's go out to him and his family.

I a remeber talking to Cookie for like 4hrs at frank & sons while I was in Cali for business. What a great guy

Ed
I am saddened by this news.
On the other hand, I was glad that Cookie was able to make it to the recent Redline Guys meeting that was hosted at my home.
Cookie made it a point to pull me aside and he thanked me for putting on the get together which he said helped him forget about his health issues while he was there.
That meant a lot to me and I had no idea that his time was so short.
Makes me wonder if the reason this get together happened (after several years of not having one) is that he would get to be around a lot of his Redliner friends for one last time?
I still remember seeing him at the old Chevron shows and the Norwalk school shows when I first started collecting. He's a great guy!
Our prayers are with the family. Cookie will be missed.
Dave
Cookie was the one guy who told it like it was...the kind of friend you wanted on your side. We should do a memorial for him at the Cinci. convention...get together, toast him, say something we remembered him for....and all wear our "you ain't "Sh#T if you ain't BAnneD" t-shirts for the weekend.....? Let's put it together...

That sounds like a great idea. I can't make it to Cinci, but if this really happens could someone please record it and share it with the board. Also I would like Liz and Matt to see it.
Jeff
Does anyone know if there are funeral arrangement? Or has it passed? Any information would be appreciated and if it was posted.
Thanks..........randy
He chose to be cremated. There will be a little get-together for him at Frank & Sons on April 30th. Will let you know more as I hear it. -George
Does anybody have a pic of Cookie?
Hey John, Anita had one she posted but I don't remember where it was.
