American Idol? Anyone watch?

Has anyone been watching?

Last night so called "Lady Gaga" was the advice professional helping the kids? Seriously...how can one look at her and take her seriously? She looks like Billy Idol and Cruella DeVille got together and created a child.

I've thought all along that A.I. was trying to sell James as "the one" all along, like they promoted Adam...
Zakk Wylde playing guitar a couple weeks ago with James? I smelled it right away, with other subtle hints earlier on as to who "they" want. High notes alone don't make a great singer, and James has already considered himself to be a "star". He seems over confident and it might kick him in the rear, maybe tonight?
I thought Pia was the best of the bunch, but now I'm hoping Haley can pull off a win, her second song last night was fantastic!
What a nice mix in the final four, I think Scotty will be a country star, the kid has got it going on if you like country music.<insert Alfred E. Newman joke here>

I am pulling for Scotty, he has the voice of a Paul Brandt and the attitude of a Garth Brooks, I think he will place well. I am not much for Haley just something about her rubs me wrong lol. I must say I am not much for James either. I think your dead on with the way you describe him. I to thought Pia was greatttttttttttt. I have been watching this season but have missed the last couple because they didnt have much talent on the show. Gooooooooo Scotty Gooooooooooo

I've been watching all season and it was cool seeing Lady GAGA on there. She is one of the most talented artists in music today. I saw her HBO special last weekend and I couldn't believe my eyes or ears. She has a gorgeous voice and her stage show would rival any of the stars today. She was at Madison Square Garden and sold it out 3 days in a row.

Her story amazed me when I read it.

I think James is the best entertainer of the last 4. His story is a wonderful one because of his Turrets Syndrome and being a high functioning Autistic person. It is amazing the transformation he makes when he sings.

The country guy is amazing too but he still needs to polish his stage presence before he can be a star but he is well on his way.

The gals, you ask? Eye candy baby...much less talent than the guys, imho, but they sure a nice to look at.

Not sure who will go home tonight but I feel it will be one of the gals.

James Durbin all the way.....Not too many people can sing ANYTHING but he can literally sing ANY song ever written IMO. His range is unreal....I liked Pia too but toooooooo many ballad's and she wouldn't move around at all, which I thought was a little boring......Pretty interesting mix for the final four...........We'll see....

My heart broke when Pia was voted off. She will be a star one day I think...

I picked James and Haley from the get go. I think James will win.

I always root for the best looking chick left because none of the rest really matters. Haley for the win.

I think Alfred E. Nueman err Scotty will be an OK country singer.
I don't know if there is anyone in the top 4 that I would call a star (idol) whatever!!

What an absolute shocker...so much for it being 'fixed.'

So much for the best singer winning the singing competition.

Nothing is fixed...it seems they pick who they want, and steer it that way, like the Zakk Wylde gig...and the hype. I think they try to direct people to vote for who will sell the most records, not so much the best talent.

Tonight went well I thought...to me James isn't as good as he "thinks" he is. He showed it clearly tonight that everything the judges have said this season went straight to his head. He really thinks he's a superstar...

What is happening though? Two country singers left of the three...

You are 100% right Don...

I also think the voting system on AI is flawed.

Wouldn't it make more sense to vote for who you want OFF the show? Rather than have to vote for several to try to save them? It would be so much easier, rather than writing down numbers and making different calls, when one with redial would be simpler...

Good idea Scott. I get tired of seeing the best talent not win. But just like Adam...James will be a star one day.

I agree with Scott...James was too full of himself and that's why the public voted him off.

It's not all about the singing...its people voting for their artist that they "like".

I prefer "The Voice" to AI .

It is much more interesting and IMO the singers are better.

Interesting thats not my take on James at all. Out of all the contestants he came across a guy who has overcome alot and was working towards this to help better his family.
I didn't see any ego at all, maybe he was confident in his singing and musical talent but definetly not someone with a ego or full of himself.

Well Don,
I hate riding your coattail but I never saw that in James either. I watched a kid with nothing but hope enter this contest with his voice and his dreaded twitching illness, for the sake of a better word, go up on that stage and sing his butt off...week after week. He did all he could to entertain the crowd and the viewing audience and show his extraordinary ability to sing any style of music.

The way I judge the singers is I ask myself..."Would I pay for a ticket to see them in concert?"

Jeff and Don....I couldn't agree with you guys more....James Kicked A$$! He was really good and he knew it, nothing wrong that. It was confidence not ego IMO.....I think the Finale will be very boring without him, and now I might not even watch.........

When Pia was voted off I expected James to win as he is clearly the best. I just don't get it. As for lady gaga what a freaking joke. She is a complete pig and if American Idol is using her to get ratings they are going down the wrong road. How could anybody admire a freak like her/him/it whay ever you call her.

Simply amazing performer...you should see her. Its on HBO all month.

Nobody good IMO this year. Last Year there were 2 I liked and they both came down to #1 & #2. Lady Gaga is a Buffy the Vampire Slayer reject. -George
