My Favorite time of the year...

INDY WEEK!!!

Got my tickets ready.

Monday I won a contest on the facebook game Car Town. I won Alex Taglianis' driving gloves that he will be using this Sunday at the 500. I'll post pics when I get them.

Tuesday I bought my tickets for the 500, Row 1 turn 4.

Friday I will be on my way to Indy.

Any other Indy fans or anyone else on here going to Indy?

Yes,I went to 6 or 7 races in the 90s,every one sould go one time.To feel and hear the power,the speed..............

When i was a kid we went to visit relatives, and my dad drove around the track, we were all in the car

I watch the 500 ever year. The only race I attended was in 1993 (Emerson F. won). Have fun. I'm jealous!
Make sure to watch that Hot Wheels sponsored record car jump before the race.

Extremely surprised.
I'm glad for him that he was able to get the pole but I don't think it is going to do any good. Those Penske cars and the Target Ganassi are just too good and will easily pick off Tagliani if you ask me.

Over all I'm rooting for Ed Carpenter for Sarah Fischer Racing.

I went to the 1975 race when I was 9. I don't remember a lot about the experience but I do remember that Bob Barker was the Grand Marshall, some guy put me on his shoulders for awhile, someone broke down in front of where we were sitting and started hollering at the wrecker driver, that when we went to go to the museum, they wouldn't let some dude in without a shirt so he came back 10 minutes later with a newspaper with a hole cut in the middle over his head (and he still didn't get in), and we left early due to rain. I would love to go back as an adult some day. I dig watching the 500, then the Coke 600.

You have to give it up to Danica and the Andretti boy for getting those cars in at the last second.

Grew up in Indy 1966-83. The month of May was always a blast.....time trials, the Goodyear blimp flying over your house, the quest for 200 MPH. The 500 doesn't seem to have as high of a profile as it did then. Guess there's more competition for our attention. The era of Foyt, Andretti, Rutherford, Sneva, the Unser brothers.....ah those were the days!

I'm starting to get an itch for the Topper cars but I haven't scratched it yet. I did pull the trigger on a JL 500 track set (no cars) the other night though.

I can definitely see the Ganassi cars being contenders, but I think the only Penske driver who has a definate chance is Power. I don't think Tagliani will just get picked off. I'm personally rooting for Scott Dixon and Dan Wheldon, but I'd be happy to see Tags or Dario win too.

I think I'd heard that when Sam Hornish won a couple years ago, it was the first time that the leader took the white flag and did not come around the winner. So I'm guessing this was the first time the leader in turn 4 was not the winner.

2:06 am just got home from the race.
That ending was crazy!!!! What heartbreak for the rookie in the 4 car to hit the wall like that I fell so sorry for him.

Out of all the Indy 500's I have been to this was the best. Good clean racing with few accidents.

Parking sucked as usual wound up with close to a 5 mile walk to the track and another 5 miles back to the car when it was over. Sun burned to hell but well worth it.

To anyone ever thinking of going to a race at Indy, Do not sit front row in the N.W. Vista stand or you will be covered in beer because idiots have to throw there half full cans on the ground in front of you the entire race. I could have licked my shirt after the race and could name at least 10 different kinds of beer that wound up getting poured on me. WORST SEATS EVER. I'm going back to the front stretch next year.

I'll have to see what pictures my sister took and if they are any good I will post them here.

In 2 weeks is on this side of the ocean the biggest race of the year! I will go again for the 13e time in a row : the 24hours of Le Mans!

If you guys really like racing then you should try [URL="http://www.iRacing.com"]www.iRacing.com[/URL] .. you may need an upgraded computer and steering wheel setup but it is the next thing to the real thing..

I might have to try that. I just bought NASCAR 2011 for my Wii and it's pretty underwhelming. The Indy Legends game is pretty cool though.
