YARD SALE FINDS!
Well, I am a bit backed up on showing off my finds, but here they are, better late than never!
May 14-a neighborhood sale very close to my house. I could not resist. So, I got some breakfast and headed out. Not much, but I did score later in my hunt.
Check out this case! First score of the day. Richard Petty's car just stuck out to me.

For .25 cents each, I scored these MEGA RIG parts:

I scored these vintage bicycle reflectors, still with the package for .75 cents. I've already flipped them for $10.

An old-fashioned popcorn popper thing-I only paid $2.50 for it, I think I can make a few bucks.

This hard to find Atari 2600. These are the ones from about 1985/86 and are more valuable than the older, more common consoles. Everything works, I just had to clean the paddles and one joystick. I figure I can at least double my money.

For FREE I got this 1963 Huffy Silver Jet. I'll either part it out and junk it or fix it (I am restoring a boys frame 1966 model). This 'ole girl still had the tail light!

This Past Thursday's finds! Another neighbordhood sale close to the house, not far from the last one.
All boxes for $1 each

Found these nice buttons, I believe the Batman one is pretty old, I'd say 70s at the latest.

Friday, I got early dibs on a sale down the street!
I don't normally buy solid state radios unless they are wild looking. This one had class, and worked perfectly. For $1, I couldn't beat it!

Nice cars here!

Saturday morning, I pull out one of my Classics and go down there. BINGO! $4 for all of it! The Christmas stuff really had me going!

A case with cars for 50 cents. What the heck?

Late in the day, about 2:00 PM, I score this old 80s hand held game. It needs some work, but I think I can sell it. I also scored a Playstation for 50 cents (I'll include that with a deal on another one).

Re: YARD SALE FINDS!
YIPE! I ain't found a Red at yard sale YEARS! Not since I was at least 8th grade...
Thsoe lights called out to me. How often do you find Christmas lights with PINK strands!! The ice bulbs alone are $30 out of the box. Maybe I should wait until fall and strike when the iron is hotter? LOL!

Re: YARD SALE FINDS!
I have that case with Pettyand the Dodges on the front, got it in the lot.
Hey would you part with the Chevette at a reasonable price? Long story, but my buddy had one when he was 15. It had a Cherry Bomb and slotted mags on it. That car had 3,000 extra miles on it before either of us had a license. It's amazing what you could get away with back in the day. But for that reason, I always try to pick up first gen. Chevette stuff when I see it.

I also have a first gen Chevtte emblem too out in the shed. There is a more rare Pontiac version at a junkyard I frequently go to. But yes, I would part with it.
EDIT: It ain't in the shed, so it must be in the basement. I know I didn't scrap it. I don't scrap anything Classic-or if I do, its very rare.
EDIT (again):
Found it. Here it is:

Re: YARD SALE FINDS!
First off I responded to your PM. Let me know on shipping on the Chevette model. I got this lot around Christmas I think. It had that same case with the Petty cars and the Dodges.

My brother and I had those GI JOE book & records when we were kids. Those were the BEST. We played them to death...

Re: YARD SALE FINDS!
Thanks! The yellow hatchback is a Chevette, the van is labeled as a Tradesman. The black truck is a Chevy and so is this wild yellow one I think.
The lights are safe to plug in, and are quite beautiful, but the killer on them is how hot the bulbs can get. I finally got to sort through, fix, and correct the sets (the more they match and appear as they did new, the better as always). Some of the pieces are quite rare. The big score in the lot are the NOS ICE bulbs from GE, the pink cord Royalites, the NOMA bubble light bulbs, and the twinkle bulbs with the boxes (found out about these puppies when testing). They Royalites are supposed to have all pink ublbs, matching the cord, but I only have enough for one of the sets to be correct.
Sadly, the little tree is dead and is really for looks and non-funtional. It is beyond my capabilities at this time as it takes a special bulb that was burnt out and I could not get current to flow on a fitting replacement.
Pics to follow the progress and I'm sure you guys will love the eye candy!
Oh, and the GI Joe stuff? Yea, my dad was like, "I had this one as a kid!" (I think it was the mummy one). Its funny really, here is his 17yr old son digging up stuff he had as a kid! Whats worse, I am now finding some toys he really wanted, but never got!
He used to have the Thundershfit 500, Spoiler Sport, GI Joe, an Atari 2600 (a newer version than he had, I'm sure), LOL!
