on September 11th 2001 we all as hot wheel collectors for 1 day didn't think about waiting out side a store wanting to see if they had a fresh case of hot wheels we turned to our tv radios computers to watch as one of the worst acts of terror played out.
it wasn't about that t-hunt or error or htf vari or that redline on ebay it was about how could we help people in New York Washington Pennsylvania.
We were looking for flags places to donate money and blood.
please remember thoues who were lost and the ones still dealing with the lose.

Re: 10 years ago
Hard to believe it's been 10 years. I remember it like yesterday as I'm only a couple hrs. away. My prayers continue to go out to all of the families who had loss. The N.Y.P.D. and Firefighters are second to none. Those people were trying desperately to get out of the buildings and the firfighters were heading in to save people obviously putting there life on the line. Not to mention the passengers over PA who took over the plane and crashed it to foil the hijackers plans. The sacrifice made by so many still brings tears to my eyes and so very proud to be an American!!!!!

Re: 10 years ago
I remember standing in front of the tv listening to the initial reports of an "accident"... then watching that plane hit the second tower. The flood of emotion was such that I hadn't experienced in quite a few years. I still feel the anger/denial/vunerability/sorrow/anger on every anniverary of it. I lost a few friends that day and I think every American lost a piece of thier soul.

Re: 10 years ago
I was at my desk at work ... radio tuned to a talk radio program as usual. They broke in with a special 'breaking news' story, and never returned to regular programming the rest of the day. I was sure it was a terrorist act from the beginning .... my fears confirmed when the second plane hit. I so wanted to be with my family .... my daughter was at school (a senior then), my wife at her job ... and my son in the Marines .... already close to the middle east region.
God bless all those who paid the ultimate price that day .... workers in & near the WTC & the Pentagon .... police, fire, & other emergency personnel .... and the victims aboard the aircraft. God bless all of your families too. And God bless all of America .... as we still reel from this tragedy 10 years later. We can rebound, with God's help. Stand tall America!

Re: 10 years ago
I am one that believes there is some kind of government cover up going on because a plane did not hit the Pentagon. I dont know what did but I want to know. The most secure building in the world and no video and zero plane wreckage and no wing damage to the biulding, kinda wierd to me.

You sound like Willie Nelson??? Let me guess it was also George Bush's fault? Please let us not go there today. There was no government cover up!

+1 with Gary...
Differant thread, differant day.

Re: 10 years ago
What happened on that day should never be forgotten. I am completely willing to stand in a TSA line in an airport so that something like this may never happen again. May God bless the families of the deceased and their souls as well.
p.s. Shane, a plane did hit the pentagon. The reason there was no wreckage was because the plane was completely obliterated when it hit. Whatever was left was buried by debris from the Pentagon itself. There was no video because no one thought that the plane would hit the building. Would you whip out your cell phone and take a video of a random plane passing overhead on any other day? But, to echo rntknifes, different thread, different day.

Wasn't trying to start anything. I wont say anything else on the subject. People tend to believe what others want them to believe.

I'll say this on the matter.
I have been in the aerospace business since 1979 and NO plane would ever be completely obliterated in a crash.
NEVER EVER!!!

Re: 10 years ago
HI There
Just saw this and it is a few days ago! Ofcourse it is a very sad day for all of us!
It has changed a lot of things in the world.
But what never will change is the fact that we lost there a lot of innocent fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters!
Black, yellow, red, white all kind of races, innocent races, Jewish, christians, budhists, mormones, indians and maybe some muslims too.
Just wanna say a few things: God bless all those who paid the ultimate price that day and the ones who left behind.
And here in the Netherlands we also believe in a few different things, not to open or defend any theory;
@ Shane; I also think that it is weird as a lot of Dutch people
@ Toysalot That is absolute true!!
I think this "game"is from a higher political level! and I dont wanna go there!
I just sat for the tv and watche it all again and still cant believe it! Absolute unbelieveable.

:gun_bandana::osama::stupid::2guns:So it really didn't happen? Conspiracy theorist are simply amazing. The Holocaust never happened either if you listen to Mahmoud Ahmadinejod. The 9/11 conspiracy theory has been completely debunked and to think differently is foolish. Sultanic, I agree that in the Netherlands you do believe in different things. Most of Europe does as well.

Re: 10 years ago
Check your facts. There is no video of a plane hitting the pentagon. There are dozens of cameras in and around the pentegon recording 24 hours a day and no video of a plane has been shown. The only known video of it was taken by a security camera across the street at another business and it was immediately taken from them after the explosion by government officials. And again, no wing damage on the building whatsoever, and if you look at the pictures from right after the explosion, all there was was a hole around 12-16 feet in diameter. I am not accusing Bush or anybody else for this (I like Bush more than Clinton or Obama) but I know we weren't told the truth. And I think we deserve it.

Re: 10 years ago
So I assume the numerous eyewitness accounts, conversations of families with their loved ones aboard the plane, pictures of the wreckage of the plane, interviews with families of the victims, the video of the plane hitting the building, etc. readily available to any 6-year-old with the ability to spell 'google' and 5 minutes of spare time are part of the conspracy? Lord, you conspiracy buffs would be amusing if the subject at hand were not so absolutely heartbreaking.

All my genuine condolences goes out to all.

Re: 10 years ago
i really think i should have added "please keep all political/conspiracy theories out of this" I all i was trying to do was honor thous lost but a few people have turned this in to a soap box to vent and tarnish the victims and family/friends of them. Please no mater what you think stop with all the hate.
I'm sorry the the admins of this site this post was never meant to turn out like this if you feel the need to remove it then do so.
