thats with cheap surplus ammo
not to shabby.this is without a bipod or a benchrest

Did you eat the target you killed?
Cool rifle, and a very tight group at 100 yards, that's smokin'!!!
Re: just finished building a new rifle----shot python sized group at 100yards
I remember having to clean m16s when I was in high school (ROTC) at camp Pendleton, in the dark, wasn't fun but shooting them full auto was, and so was shooting an m60, but them weren't as pretty as yours. Makes me want to clean the cosmolean out of the barrel of my pistol gripped 30 rd sks "deer rifle". Thanks for the picture Randy

See that is one of the great advantages about living outside of California, everyone else gets the good toys. I bought mine almost twenty years ago for a deer riffle, then they were talking about banning assault riffled, so that is why the mag, and grip got added, I was also allowed to keep the blade bayonet (for skinning of course) the only thing thebann accomplished was to drive the prices up

Randy:
Just getting ready to buy a Rock River Operator. What kind of optics you got on the one in the second pic?
How big of a pain was it to get the suppressor?
Greg
Re: just finished building a new rifle----shot python sized group at 100yards
the optics on the second gun are just a cheap red/green dot 1X power i got in trade.
i actually dont like it i shoot better open sights LOL
the suppresor is not hard to get, just buy it then fill out the paperwork send it in and wait 4 months
the hardest part is the 4 month wait
but well worth it makes a huge differance

Re: just finished building a new rifle----shot python sized group at 100yards
What would you recommend for scope for target shooting 100-330 yd range?
Re: just finished building a new rifle----shot python sized group at 100yards
i have that 4x12 on the top gun it seems to work great for me.
usually i just shoot with iron sights .to me they are more reliable than optics
but just recently got into shooting paper so i really dont have much experience with scopes
i do know that i love my rock river operator, serious gun for the money.it has been flawless so far

Randy:
I'm definetly sold on the Rock River and I have been doing a lot of reading on all the different AR's.
Just looking for what else I want on it to finish it off. I'll post a pic when I get it.

Yep I hear ya. I also remember that In marine corp boot camp, it sucked. When we got out in garrison we learned from the old salts to use WD to clean 'em, it was highly frowned apon but it cut the cleaning time in half at least.
