Who thinks the NEW "Van Halen" is a joke??

I saw VH in '79 and in '81 and they kicked ass.........I saw VH with Sammy twice and with Gary Cherone (sp?) once.........I will say the DLR days were the best for me, I just don't know what to think of the new line up without Michael Anthony.......Not sure that Wolfie is gonna cut it for me.........3 guys over 50 and a 15 year old.......And God knows VH has had an awful lot of problems in the past! Also, Do you think they will be able to make it through the 25 date Tour?????????????? LOL! and there is talk of a new album...................I don't think so..............

WANTED: 1973 near mint Prowlers with white interior in dark green, light green, orange and plum & a Demon in chocolate brown with white interior. I also need a red Boss Hoss with white interior.

It is a JOKE! It's not a reunion without all the original members! Michael Anthony did all the highs on the vocals. Drew and John are right! I don't know, but I think little "Wolfie" won't be able to handle it. I hope "Wolfie" has the Peter Brady syndrome! Put it this way, I don't think I'll be going. Plus, Eddie probably won't make it past a few nights without ending up in rehab again! My 2 cents Rich

It wasn't ego that broke Eddie and Dave up, it was Valerie Bertinelli(Van Halen). Now that her and Eddie are done, Van Halen is back. I heard this several years ago from a former "soundman",seems Dave was drunk one night and hit up on Mrs.Van Halen, Eddie threw him out of the group and the rest is history. K-dog

I say give 'em a chance. At one point in his career, Eddie was one of the finest guitarists on earth (IMO). DLR has always been quite the showman. Alex is Alex. Yes, they'll miss M.Anthony's vocals, but who knows, Wolfie may fill those shoes just fine. You don't have to be any particular age to rock and rock well. Many bands have proved that time and time again. I'm going to see Def Leppard the 22nd of this month, and looking forward to it! And they are no spring chickens any more. Let's give VH a chance. redlinemanjk I always felt the same way -Black Sabbath was not BS without Ozzie and Deep Purple was not DP without Ritchie Blackmore. Van halen with Sammy was good but a totally different type of music - not ground breaking. Can anyone imagine Judas Priest without Halford or Led Zeppelin without Page? K-dog

I'm probably the biggest Van Halen fan on the board and like John said, They were quite good. The recent footage of them on YouTube looked great. I do miss Michael Anthony's harmonies though. Eddie's still one of my favorite guitarists when he's sober.<img src="http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/laugh.gif" alt="image"> Hopefully, no egos will ruin this reunion. Dave.
