Hi fellow redliners,
I now need you to pray in a different way.The cancer has been very aggressive and in November we learnt that it had spread to the bones and Liver. There was nomore therapy that could help and the last month has been very sad but we have brought up many good memories that will be lasting for me.I have been by his sidethe whole fight but he is now losing that fight. The doctor doesn't think he will make Christmas and he is now in heaps of pain and suffering badly.Pleasepray for him to go to sleep and be out of pain and join my mother once again.
All your prayers in the past have been greatly appreciated and I thank you all for them.
I wish every RLOL member a very merry Christmas and hope that 2008 is a great year.
Thanks for all your kind words throughout this battle.

Dave

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am not sure where to post this so if it is in the wrong forum please move it.

My father has in the last 10 days been diagnosed with cancer of the oesophegus which started in the gullet. It has also spread to the glands which is not goodand means it could travel and turn up anywhere. He is an 83 year old war veteran who served for 2 years in New Guinea during the 2nd world war.He has had nomajor health problems during his life except for hundreds of skin cancers, his skin is a mess.On Wednesday the doctors tried to insert a stent to keep thepassage open so he could eat normal foods but the cancer is much longer than the stents so he is on a pureed diet.He starts radiotherapy on June 26th to tryand shrink the tumor so a stent can be inserted.
So he is now facing the fight of his life and I'll be there for him the whole way.I lost my mum to cancer 10 years ago and my father in law 3 years ago.Idon't want this disease to take another of my children's grand parents so please pray for him.His name is Norman Rogers.
This forum is called red liners unite and I am hoping you guys and gals will unite in prayers. Thanks for reading and sorry it is so long.I will keep youinformed of how it all is going.

Dave
