"Rain Man" 1949 Convertible Buick Roadmster Holy Grail find!

Thanks to the great detective work of Mario Borbon the Toy Car Exchange purchased the 1949 Buick Roadmaster that was used in the movie Rainman. This along with other great vintage 1:1 cars will soon be offered up for auction at the Toycar Exchange in the new category of real 1:1 Cars.

This car came with incredible documentation and is in beautiful shape. i consider the 1949 Buick Roadmaster Convertilble one of America's most elegant cars!

Wow! My dad used to love those cars, he always wanted one but could never find one to buy....very cool.

As stated the car has actually been bought by the TCE and is now owned by the TCE. It will be subsequently resold in the exciting new category we are setting up 1:! vintage cars.

1) The car is stored at Mario's place in California but yes we intend to take it for a spin before it is sold.

2) Yes, as we roll out the new category new forums will be added for real cars! Enough of us enjoy real vintage cars that it will warrant a separate forum.

This car drives and looks amazing people point at you all day long. Its the most amazing car that i have found to date. If anyone is in the area come see this great American car. It will be nice to have a section on this site for real cars i have a couple for sale now. I just discovered another big find but have not revealed it yet.Heres one of my cars i will be selling on this site im asking 13K great car for Rat rod or original.

Nice to work with Mario on photographing this great car this past weekend! So cool to see such a beautiful car in person!

It was my pleasure Mark. This 1949 Buick roadmaster has class,style and design that was my favorite for that time period in domestic cars. From the grill and front nose to the body lines it just flows like water perfectly.
