Garden Spider as stated above. Will cause a fright if you walk through one of their webs in low light conditions...gives you the creeps, but they are a great asset in the volume of bugs they eat.
Awesome, thanks guys for the info.
Randy, I just talked to Mitch on the phone and he is bringing his proto 917 to race against your Cheetah so i will bring my proto Sugar Caddy to add to the field. I hope we can run them down the track.
Jeff
I think it's a golden orb spider. Gnarly looking, but won't bother you. Funny how their body and leg structure are so much like that of a black or brown widow...
awesome jeff
i am trying to find out who runs the track
and getting a few runs just for us and maybe even hyped a bit i have my cheetah and a proto camaro i am running
Hey Jeff,
Funny joke...Holoween rubber spider...Lol!

Looks like it is ready for a footprint
I haa huge spider streched between the front post and the pear tree in the front yard. Harmless or not it caught me by surprise and scared the #$%^ out of me
We had one of those in our vegi garden last summer and as others have stated; they do an EXCELLENT job of controlling the bugs. When I first noticed it; the spider was no bigger than a Quarter. By the end of the season, this guy was huge and the Grandsons LOVED to go to our garden to visit it!
Dave
Take to hard back books and slam them together, with the spider between them!!

Argiope... AKA Common Garden Spider. Totally harmless but to mesquitoes, flies, bees, ect. Looks lie a female. Should be an egg sack on the web close by her. GOOD spider... let her be.
Jeff!
Seen one similar in my yard! They're pretty cool if you ask me!
