For those of you not familiar with Leonard Cohen, he is an amazing song writer and has endured for many years. I believe he gets even better as he ages. I hopehe makes it into the HOF. He certainly is not a Rock star, in fact he is far from it (as a Folk legend), but he started in the mid-60's and continues evenstill. To me, he borders genius

I sure wish the list was alphabetized. When I am curious if a group or person has made the list, I end up reading the whole list over and over "I have aphotographic memory, but no film" ( I stole that one from a RLOL member). I would like to see Jethro Tull's name on that list, lets see, Blondie orTull, for the rock and roll hall of fame, hummmm...Thats a tough choice. image Another one I didn't see was Stepenwolf or J.J. Cale, or John Mayall . So many of thegreats didn't make the list, and some that make no sense at all did. Music is so subjective, probably the most subjective topic I can think of. Most peoplelove the music they grew up on, and consider it the best music ever. But I really think that the classic rock of the 60's and 70's was a special timefor music, Even todays young people like it, We sure didn't appreciate the music of our parents or grandparents ."Rock and Roll will liveforever" Michael

Looks like more of the 70-80s Arena Bands will eventually file into the Hall. Van Halen was a start. Menawhile, pioneers of certain musical forms deserve to beon the list. I saw Grand Master Flash in the early 1980s and they were pretty amazing. Other rap groups? Maybe Run DMC or Public Enemy in upcoming years,Eminem somewhere down the line. Some amazing Arena Bands are already in the Hall so embrace those choices---ToM/NOLa

PS---In the late 60s, we had a 45 of the Ventures/Hawaii Five-0 and I "wore out it" to quote a New Orleans DJ. So, yea, glad to see them in the Hall.Even the flipside was cool---was it Kickstand?---ToM/NOLa

    Michael,
I agree fully about Jethro Tull. They should have been inducted long ago.
Ian Anderson is probably 70 years old by now and he is still Rockin the Stages!

    Tom B,

I think it was Kickstand. That was another of their great tunes. image

Department of Motor Vehicles indicates that 23% of traffic accidents are alcohol related. This means that the remaining 77% are caused by people who drink coffee and other crap like that.
