I didn't hear anything about collateral. You can't expect anybody to fork over 5k with no guarantees.

I don't have any significant redline collateral. I have my childhood cars, about 30, which I will never part with. Then, I have the remains of myredline collection from 1998 to 2006. Most of that falls into the redline accessories category, stuff that 90% of the board members don't collect, whichthere is nothing wrong with, just the way it is. That stuff is bulkier and harder to liquidate, plus I don't really want to sell it. The redline cars thatI have that are semi-valuable would be as follows:

    loose 1974 blue Rodger Dodger about C-8.9 ($1,400 - $1,900)
    carded 1971 Snake II ($300)
    carded 1971 Mongoose II ($300)
    loose 1972 rear-engine dragster Snake C9.9 ($150)
    loose 1972 rear-engine dragster Mongoose C-9.9 ($150)
loose 1970 Boss Hoss Silver Special with #1 on door stickers C-9.9 ($90)
    loose 1968 orange Custom Firebird C-9.9 ($90)
carded 1969 red enamel Ford Mk IV with HTF #5 Hong Kong stickers ($150)
rubber-banded 1970 Snake/Mongoose funny cars mounted to cardboard insert of track set complete ($400)

That's a little over $3,000, but I don't really want to sell those off, either. I suppose somebody could hold them as collateral, though, until thedebt is repaid. I hadn't really thought of anything along those lines with using redlines as collateral, even though I came here to Redlines Online with myplea. I just thought of other board members in tough times who have been helped in various ways. Unfortunately, my situation is urgent, not leaving enough timefor most of these solutions. I was just trying to think of something quick, which would lean towards a local redliner with deeper pockets, that could drivehere to make the loan on a Monday morning/afternoon and do the pickup of the cars, since I can't really leave the premises all day Monday, unless I getshut down, which would leave me with plenty of free time, but no source of income to repay anybody.

P.S. The '87 Buick GN and the '87 Monte Carlo SS are long gone. All I have left is my daily driver, a 2002 Monte Carlo SS with a new engine, whichI'm using for deliveries all day tomorrow and Tuesday night if I'm still here.
