Firefox Picture Saving Help Needed

I just recently changed my browser to Firefox - so far so good, except ....

When I'm on ebay, there's a number of times I like to save the enlarged picture of the item. In IE, I was always able to right click / save as and put it into a folder. Firefox doesn't appear to give me any options to save these enlarged pictures on ebay .... other sites (here) work fine ! (?) I went back to IE and tried - no problem, so it must be something with Firefox.

What am I missing ?

I get the exact same thing. Unless someone else can chime in, from what I've experienced, I think it is a shortcoming of Firefox. I have to use IE to download pics from eBay. Unless you want to go through a whole rigamarole of "select all" "copy" and paste to a new email in Outlook then copy and paste again to "My Pictures."

I can confirm what you're seeing, but sadly, I can't offer any help. Here's what I have noticed:

When using Firefox (3.6) on ebay, I can right-click any pic in the "body" of the page (below or within the item description) and save-to without problems.

But if I try to right-click an enlarged image that has multiple images within the enlarged box... forget it. No option to save-to.

Further weirdness: sometimes I can right-click an enlarged photo if there is only one photo, not multiples... but not every time. It will work with some singles, but not others.

But since I use Opera and IE8 more than firefox, it hasn't been too big of an issue for me.



EDIT: I think I found the solution:


Right click the picture. From the menu, choose "View Page Info" (or Ctrl-I). Click on "media", then "Save As". Then save it to a folder, your desktop etc.

i recently switched over to firefox also. But there are certain things that i cant do with it, that i could on IE. So i just use both browsers. One for this and one for that. Works real nice.
