Heh heh, kick ass bro! Nice gear! I had a "fight" with an Ampeg B-18 last year. I could never get that freaking think to work right. It had beenconverted from 7027s to 6550s. Nightmare. I lost my ass on that one. The Portaflex amps are GREAT for the studio though. You really don't see them at allin the club scene anymore. I very rarely see them in my shop.

As for my amps, I was using a '69 Super Bass as my main head, and a '73 Super Bass for backup. The '69 is loaded with a quad of Sylvania 6CA7s(think EVH from '77/'78). That amp is freaking KILLER for classic rock bass stuff. Think Live at Leeds. The 2 x 15 cab I got in '86. It is an'81 loaded with Eminence Delta 400s. Nice and big sounding. Not too complex, but really is my best sounding cab with the '69 Marshall. Basses are aFrankenstein '66 and a '73 beater.

Looks like I spy a Fender "Evil Twin" in the middle there. LOL!

Wow, love the Fenders! The vintage Marshall ain't too shabby either!

Have any of you ever heard of amps made by Royal? I have a 1974 Royal Super Bunny Pro 230 ("regular" guitar amp) in mint condition. All tube head and4x12 cabinet. I've owned it since it came off the showroom floor.
