Dave I'm so sorry to be reading this so close to Christmas. I don't know what to say. I'm so sorry you have to begoing through this. Thoughts and prayers are with your dad. May he be pain free and reunited with your Mum soon. I'm so so sorry.

I offer this for you...please share.
Share good memories with your Father during these rough times. In the last days of my Fathers life, we talked about many things we both remembered about mychildhood. I thanked him for the man he was and the pillar of strength he always showed us boys. I have 3 brothers.
One quick story...
I told him how proud I was of him when he drove up to the schoolyard in a brand new red TR-4A. I was playing with my friends and when he honked the horn at me,I took off running so fast to him so I could see the new red car. I was the coolest kid and had the coolest Dad when my friends saw me get into that car! Mydad said he remembered how big my smile was when I was running to the car. I was 9 years old then.
My Dad told me he never knew I felt that way. I told him that I always was proud of him and I always talked about how cool my dad was when I was talking to myfriends. He just smiled.
My Mom told me, after Dad passed, that the talks he and I had made him feel so good that he knew he had done a good job as a Dad that he could go into the nextlife feeling content with the way he raised is kids. She also told me that when he told her about the "talks", he always felt a little better.

1st off I would like to let you all know that my father passed on about 2:30 am Australian time this morning 12/22/2007.
I would sicerely like to thank each and everyone of you for all your kind words during this time.Since becoming a member of RLOL I feel like my family grewvery fast and I see you all as family members,Thank you so much.
Jeff,dad and I had some great talks over the last month and we both felt better and closer for it.
