Ray, BEAUTIFUL FIREBIRD! I had the same one, 1973 Formula 400, Red with White vinyl top, white interior. First car i ever bought. $2000! had it from 1981-1984.Man, was she FAST. Got a few speeding ticket's, with her. Never lost a street race in her. Best track time i did 15 seconds at 90 mph. That was with a badreaction time, about 1.000 and just after i bought her. The engine blew on me 2 weeks after i bought her. Had no money for a rebuild. So my father and idesided to try it our selfs. That's when i bought the Service Manual. The next 4 months, the engine was on a engine stand and we would work on it, when wecould. And of course when money was available. I was working at Mattel at the time $3.25 a hour. A dime above minimum wage. Got it back on the road and droveit. Winter snow, not too good. But with snow tires, not too bad. Got tired of the tickets and putting all my money into it and bought a 1979 Dodge Magnum. Myfamily was and still is a Mopar family. I was the first one not to by a Mopar. Sold it for $900 and have regreted it ever since. The one that got away. I havelots of pictures of her. All polaroids. Enjoy your Manual and Firebird!

    "Ray, BEAUTIFUL FIREBIRD!"
I second that. One of the last Firebirds I liked. As soon as they wrapped the rear window around the side I lost interest. Not even Burt Reynolds and SallyField could make me change my mind.
