Looks like you had some decent action there Louis. I'll take a stab at name the fish.
First 4 rows look like true Red Snappers.
5th row looks kinda like what we call Ocean Tally's here (but the dorsals look different). Maybe a Sea Bass on the end.
Some gray or black Grouper, a big Red, couple of Dolphin with a King in the middle of em on the 6th.
And some back breaking, stubborn Amber-jack! Catch a couple of those in the 40lb range back to back and
you're reaching for the Advil bottle.![]()
There isn't much on earth to compare with a great days fishing, especially with a group of good friends. On the west coast we have relativies ofAmber-jack, called yellowtail and they are known for their drag smoking fighting.
After living in So Cal. near the ocean all my life, I now live in Oregon, and do most of my fishing for largemouth bass in the local lakes and for king Salmonand steelhead in the Rouge River. (I live about a quarter mile from it). But I sure do miss the salt water fishing and the Ocean adventure.
making me wish I'd gotten pics of my halibut trip... ended up with two in the 20-25 lbs range and two 15 lb Cod... brought home 20lbs vacuum packed readyfor the Fry Daddy and BBQ
What a catch, sure miss salt water fishing. The guy with the blue gloves on looks ready to get to work.
