    Default Some 80s treats!

In light of the post regarding the song "Eugene," I dug up some other, seldom-heard-today gems. Hope you enjoy!

High-Jersey whore-hair before it was vogue! And one of the best bands ever. Very influential on me.

Wow, I've only heard a couple of those songs before.
Kingdom Come and Saga...are the other songs popular? Maybe they weren't played on rock stations? Part of my music problem is where I lived until1985...no FM radio. Used to buy cassettes or albums of Rush and Pink Floyd, or whatever most of us youth were somehow introduced to in the mountains...
The singer from Saga appears to emulate Freddy Mercury...

Whoa. Someone who knows Bram Tchaikovsky and The Records. Knock me over with a feather. I could add more but nobody would know them, even if I could find them.I gotta hand it to you, man. Some real gems indeed. You da man!

The only one I know is the one you dedicated to me. lol. I have that in my iTunes Christmas folder. I lovethat song as well as the U.S.A. for Africa and the Canadian one too (Tears Are Not Enough).

Here's one of my fave '80's songs.

Very revolutionary video for its time and a terribly catchy tune...

The Producers were from the southeast so I saw them while in college. Bram Tchaikovsky, I bought the album then tired of it fast (that was the only good song,I recall). Hadn't heard Starry Eyes in years, remember it well. I remember the Saga video and seeing it now you notice a Styx / Queen influence.

Kind of late to the thread but mebbe somebody might appreciate this under-recognized near hit, probably my fave YouTube oldie:

Gotta love power pop, and the cheesy videos! --p

imageAnita taught me how to insert these! Thanks Chickyluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!

imageWhoa dude! I haven't thought ofSaga for 20 years or more! This is likely their best known tune (above), "On The Loose". Simple but cool drum beat! Gotta get me that on CD!

imageAbout that A-ha thing. I'm surethat vid was produced by Godley & Creme, can't remember, but it is recognized and acclaimed as an early pioneer in music videos.

?imageAs for the rest, never heard of them, except for Jenny and the Band Aid thing. The name Kingdom Come comes to mind. I would think that Boy Georgy and WHAMmy-dude probably had a hard timekeepin' their hands off each other. And oh,.....doesn't Phil look all nicey in that hair and sweaterimage
I heard something about Boy George gettin' in trouble again just the other day.

    Cool!

EDIT: Ya,.....dude in Saga does sorta do the Freddie thing

Here's a guy who used to make me absolutely puke. I'd puke then fall down and roll in my puke, then puke some more. Then, have 9 more beers and maybe ahalf bottle of vodka to wash the bad taste outta my mouth and ears, then puke some more, and flounder and squirm around in my puke again!

Andyimage EDIT: Then,.....I'd puke some more!
