UPDATE..IE users BEWARE....Anybody Else Got Worms?

BEWARE: I heard something on the newslast night about something serious to do with Internet Explorer update windows or what ever popping up on your screen. One popped up on mine about a week agoand I just X'd it out. Soon as you click on to 'update' yer computer, in goes a virus or something and hijacks your computer and you can't getit out. They said Microsoft will likely prepare an 'Emergency' fix patch which can be downloaded to your computer.

I don't know if this is a totalcoincidence or not, but twice yesterday while on the RLOL site, a warning popped up on my screen saying there was an infection. I moved them to the VirusVault, then did an AVG scan, then removed them. My computer was acting funny before I did that but is fine now.

I don't know a lot about this sort of thing as I'm rather duncid when it comes to computers. The infections were:

Win32*/Heur** C:\*irdvxc.exe**, and
Worm*/Allaple.B** C:\*urdvxc.exe**

**NOTE: I added these asterisks**above so as to alter those whatevers incase they could infect the site through this post. There were no asterisks in thosecomputer lingo thingys!

I'm thinking I picked them up from the site as the warning did appear only while here. A few years ago I picked up that virus or whatever that was that hadinfected South Texas Diecast's site, and it ravaged my computer so bad, I had to spend 2 or more hours on the phone with a Microsoft expert from Texas tofix it up.

Anyone else experiencing problems? Maybe the Mods or someone can look into this.

No Andy, no problems here and yours is the first I've ever heard of.
I did however, do a search on the Yuku Support Forum and found a few other people who have gotten viruses from the Yuku ads.

Hey Andrea,.....I read that, and Ifigure I would stay away from anyone who calls themselves 'DirtyLicious'. With a handle like that, ya just never know what to expect to catch! I had some of those symptoms like flickering and freezing, then couldn't get out. The only thing to do is shut down by hitting the off buttonon the processor thingy box (tower?) whatever. I generally only go to eBay, RLOL, and my email in which I only open stuff from known senders. I don't evengo anywhere else on Yuku.

As for scruffydude'spic,...maybe dispensing tapeworms would be a great way of controlling obesity in N. America. They say there's a real problem in the U.S., but I dare (and Imean 'dare') anyone to check out the mall here in Owen Sound for 20 minutes. Comparably, I'm just a twig!

so what are ya supposed to do with that jar of worms....i just had to ask......the US feel to 2nd place behind Australia with the most over weight people.....
