    Default Any GPS recommendations?

I'ts time to take the plunge and buy one. In the Garmin lineup I like the 650, 255w and 660. They have the larger 4.3" screen. Anybody have a modelin particular you'd recommend? Thanks!

Mine is a 250w, Xmas present!! I'm amazed at how many models that there are. Radio Shack has one that is the Knight Rider model, complete with flashing redLED's and the Kitt voice!!

Lane, I have a Garmin nuvi 760, works great, best thing about it is bluetooth. I can answer/make phone calls in the car through the garmin without having anearpiece in my ear. Phone contacts can be voice called. Neat! It's better than having that thing dangling off my ear....

Ray - That sounds cool. Washington state has outlawed talking on the cell phone without an earpiece and I can't stand those things. I live in Oregon andI'm sure we're next. So on the 760 model it's basically like having a speaker phone in the car? (I'm so up to speed on all this stuffimage) Let me go do some reading on this......thanks!

For what its worth, my neighbor and grandpa tried several different brands, and were unhappy with them all except Magellan, which is what I ended up buying andlove it. Its a simple one, I didnt want bluetooth and all that stuff, just voice directions, a good screen and something to help me get from A to B. Its alsogot all those points of interest to find local restraunts and gas stations, etc....and the best part is it only cost $107 at Best Buy. I tested it coming homefrom Cincy a few weeks back and it worked like a charm!

It actually worked out pretty well, I wanted a basic model, decided on the Magellan Maestro 3200, looked it up at best buy and it was $147 which was cheaperthan any of the other GPS units I had seen. We drove to the only best buy they showed it in stock, which was about 45 minutes away, and there were two left, and priced at $107, and you got a $10 Best Buy gift card back with purchase
