Thread: Stupid Ebay ....

  1. #1

    Default Stupid Ebay ....

Is anyone else experiencing this ? ....

Doesn't seem to matter what category I looked at, I could not get past page 1 ! If there were 5 pages of items, I'd scroll through page one and at thebottom click on 2, and it took me right back to page 1. No matter which page number I clicked on - or even entering the page I wanted in the box, it still keptgiving me page ONE !

The address in my address box indicated the page I chose, but it wasn't displaying anything but page 1. I tried this on numerous different searchestonight, all with the same results.

Anyone else notice this, or are we experiencing another ebay incombatability ???

Mark, I just went there and tried various searches and all of them worked fine for me. I was able to go to any page I wanted to. Yet another glitch eBay needsto fix. I wish they would stop trying to change everything as it only seems to make things worse. :)

I've had that problem in the past. Has something to do with an incapatability with Javascript.

yea had the same problem and it still goes right back up to the top of the page before it goes to the next one even now. They are probably fixing it as they golike most companies.

After doing some research in the ebay technical forums, it appears ebay's new system uses a LOT of tracking cookies and that they can at times screw withthe Java programming and another java-like system ebay is using.

I deleted all my temp files and cookies and ran all my adaware and spy programs ensuring everything was clean .... works fine now.

Some of the people's posts there highly recommended doing a regular purge of your system files and cookies if spending a lot of time on ebay, the crap itdumps onto your computer not only tracks your every move while you're there, but even after you leave. It also creates an unnecessary load on your system.

Thanks for that info Mark. I'v been experiencing this problem for a couple of weeks now. Huge pain inthe a$$!! I use the option of showing 200 items per page so I don't have to worry about changing pages so often. Gonna go clear out my temp files rightnow.
