911 call leads to teenager's arrest for saying the f-word?!?!?!?

I hope this hasn't been posted before - I'm not quite sure how old it is. What I am sure of is how f'ing pissed I'd be if this happened to me- or one of my daughters - or anyone panicking due to any emergency, much less seeing their father having seizures 3 weeks after brain surgery. Anyone herelive in Lincoln Park, Michigan?

Simply amazing, I'm so pissed at that jerk... he will get what he deserves. Not only is he a jerk, he's a liar as stated by him clearly to the EMTcall...He should be tarred and feathered, lose his job and pension, because he KNEW BETTER and someone could have died due to his stupidity or arrogance. Thepoor Lincoln Park PD better have lots of lawsuit money, because boy, oh boy do they have a big one coming their way. The facts don't lie, it's all ontape. The taxpayers will be paying for this guy for a long time.

I'm not justifying the actions of the Sergeant who took the call.... but you've got to keep in mind that somewhere around a third of 911 calls arepranks, and an additional percentage of them are of a non-emergency nature. So I can understand, given the girl's language and somewhat snotty attitude,that he might've taken it as a prank, or non-serious call. And what's a 17-yr old girl doing swearing at a Police Officer anyway? Still, to arrest herwas way out of line; but there are two sides to this story.

I dont think she was swearing AT him? She said can i get a F%^^$&^%^& ambulance. And yes they get i am sure hundreds or thousands of prank calls. BUTthats what we pay them to do. And it only takes once!!! I am sure that guy knows that now.

But my personal credos are "never judge a person until you've walked a mile in their shoes" and "never judge a situation until you know allthe facts". And "all the facts" are NOT what you can garner from listening to the mainstream media.

Lynchmobs are popular on this Board... and I will always speak out against them. Because I think it's a real tragedy, in situations such as the Salem witchhunt (to name one of many) that there weren't more people who had enough guts to go against the mainstream and suggest that "maybe we need to look atthis a bit more..." before thousands of innocent people were murdered.
