    Gregg,

Your plans are on keeping the car right, even so much not a matter.
Here's your dollars spent/ dollars earned make the pay back , those 1 of touches.
I'm in for a metal flake base pearl balck w/ a full set of the hot spectrum ( & the kick word- ghost ) flames.

Thanks very much for all the replies,
of course I'll make up my own mind but I do value the opinions
of other car buffs, even if their opinions are somewhat ... um ...
"tainted" by the redline Hot Wheels hobby. LOL
Spectraflame on a full sized car? I can't afford it, but it WOULD be cool!
    I think I've seen that - a mirror chrome finish on a 1:1.
The black Bug that Steve (CUSHE63) is restoring almost qualifies with the shine he's putting on it!
As for the Montego, my own shortlist is:
    1. Gloss Black
    2. Metalflake bright blue
    3. Purple or Plum/Magenta

As for the ice blue or silver idea, I tried to make it in silver and it came out kinda ice blue.
    No purple undertones though. LOL
I only have so much to work with here; one photo of a flat black car and Photoshop.
The chromatics are going to be off no matter what I do. But here's one more:

I vote Silver or Ice Blue!...image

Serioulsy between your top 3 choices - 1. Gloss Black 2. Metalflake bright blue 3. Purple or Plum/Magenta

Only Harleys look cool in black! Forget purple and magenta those only look good on redlines....Metalflake bright blue looks like a winner....image

If you like bright blue , go for a hue that looks like spectraflame blue..

I really like that Olive tone at the very beginning just before the Oranges start. It gives it a nice origional look. Blue would defiantly give it more pop.

Any way you cut it, you've got a real nice looking ride there Greg image
