Back to the question...like I said previously, Harvey Levin spoke to some family members of mike and they said exactly what I posted earlier.
They want to spend as much time as possible with mike.
That, and the fact that the death was ruled a homicide and the investigation is not complete yet.

I've never heard of keeping a body from burial for this long. Any forensic evidence has already been procured and recorded as evidenced by the homicidecharges, the body is already packed up in the gold coffin, nothing more to retrieve there, so barring a 24-hour pay-per-view multi cameras on the staticcasket, call it done and plant him already!

    Factual or guessing???

    With all due respect,
Would it be inappropriate for me to ask "From where do you get your supposed knowledge?"

Dave, I believe that a second autopsy can be requested to confirm the results of the first. In most cases, they would likely get on with the burial, but with ahigh profile case like this, exhuming the body for additional evidence gathering would add to the circus. The media would love that, of course, but thecoroner's office and LAPD would not.

I am not a lawyer, I only play one on a toy car message board. Hopefully someone who really knows can shed some light on this.

    I just thought of something!
This poor bastard once donned tons of make-up to look like a half-decayed zombie corpse
in his award winning "Thriller" video.
Even before he died he was beginning to look more and more like that in person.
    And now .... **** shudder ****

    Vincent Price would be proud....
