Holden makes some pretty good cars- and their utes are cool. Too bad we can't buy holdens over in the U.S.

Cops and their cars I keep my wary eyes open for (welcome to L.A.), but that Holden wagon is AWESOME. Likely the best way to scare yourself and four of yourclose friends...
As I've occasionally heard during my waltzes down under, crikey!
I saw the Maloo on Top Gear. Awesome ute!
On a tangent discussion,my brother in-law works for the Ford plant here in SW Ontario, where they currently build the Crown Vic/Grand Maruis/Lincoln (towncar?). The plant is on the block to be shut down in Sept 2011.
They make a great car there, with exceptional quality and workmanship, and the police forces, taxis,Airport limo type services around North America are screamingbloody murder as they still want these cars rather than the smaller Chargers,or Impalas or now the new Taurus Interceptor..but apparently FMC is sticking totheir guns with the planned shut down.
As Pete says, Individuals can not order the Fords or Merc from a dealer..not sure on the Lincoln.

Mama take this badge off me.
I can't use it anymore..
Some of those Crown Victoria police cars have caught fire when rear ended and many police unions now will NOT allow their department toorder these Crown Victorias. There are been a number of deaths . I know that modifications have been made to the car. Perhaps, it's an issue with notenough gas mileage and/or too much polution and Ford has to stop making them because it costs too much to modify them. Or maybe they just don't sellenough of them to make a good profit.

Mark,
Those are strictly highway cars. We don't have any challengers that I know of yet but we do have some Mustangs & Chargers etc. over here.
What they are looking for are cruisers, cars that can handle themselves & and still hold a prisoner in the back............

NYC has about 50 Hybrid Altimas. Some will be used as undercover cars.
