Minneapolis, Math, Music, melange

Well, I haven't been hanging around much. Too busy and too tired. Lots happening lately but business is still way down so not much time for redlines until things pick up.

Minneapolis.... I was wondering if there is anyone here on the board that lives in the greater Minneapolis area that would have a spare couch for me on the night of March 11th. I would prefer a non smoking setting as I have an audition the next morning in town and I am allergic to smoke... in spite of happily spending much of my youth in bowling alleys before government legislation... well enough of that already. I am looking for a cheap way to pull this trip off thus looking for someone with a charitable heart... Heck, even a heated garage will for me at this point!

On to Math.. just have to brag a bit .. my daughter just qualified over the weekend for the state "Math Counts" competition. She competed in the individual portion of the competition. Her middle school team won the team portion also qualifying. She did very well!

He is now a freshman at Georgetown U so no longer here in the area. They were snowed in so he got busy making this video.

Chuck, if you don't mind cats, dust, and probably some clutter, I can at least offer you a roof and couch. I'm about 13 miles from downtown Mpls, so it should put you in the ballpark for wherever your audition is the next day.


Congrats to you and your daughter! My kids have been in similar competitions and it's always a thrill to see them do so well!

Sounds just like our house.... except cat in the singular.. he won't tolerate any others and it is an uneasy daily truce between he and the dog...dog sees cat.. thinks "ah... mobile treat..now I just have to catch it."

Steve, this will be my first face-to-face contact with another RLOLer, and I'm looking forward to it. Outsiders "just don't understand," so it'll be fun connecting with someone who does.

Oh, favorite casting? Not an easy question to answer at first thought, but on second, it always falls back to the Sweet 16. Here's my first, bought back in, well, 1973! Just love that engine in all its gleaming glory!
