I remember a goofy yellow or red colored record (45) that was "Davy Crockett". Wore that sucker out until it sounded so bad, my Dad came in and threw it in the trash.

"Pineapple Princess" by Annette Funicello (I know... "well that just figgers for groggerbug....")! I had such a crush on her.... I remember listening to the song and staring at her picture on the jacket... I was in love...

Now, this is weird........I hadn't thought about that Davey Crockett deal since I was 7 years old. I mentioned it yesterday (look above) and Fess Parker died yesterday.......it was in the paper today. I had absolutely no idea. That makes me feel bad.

my brother got van halen's 1984 album when i was 9 yrs. old. this song and video changed my life

The album Queen II changed my life. I think I was around 13 or so, so I'm not sure if it qualifies as "childhood."
