Hi!
I try to do my own restorations from time to time on redline beaters that just will not work as a good filler. I am currently working on a Custom Cougar with blue interior. The car overall is in very restorable shape. Drilled out the rivets and the interior and glass are in excellent shape. There is no pitting or oxidation on the body or base although the axles were rusted of the thing. The body I can polish and repaint but the base is almost black from tarnish. What can I do to restore it? Chrome paint never looks good, unless you folks might suggest a good brand. Or how can I polish it without distorting the printing on the base?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Vince
