My father was taking his, 1963 Dodge Polara, to the Englishtown Car show and Swap Meet. I went to his house and we were going to the show, about 12 miles from his house. We were 2 miles away, sitting in traffic, when the car shut off. He tried starting it again and the alternator needle went all over the place. It would turn over and start, but as soon as he gave it gas, off it went. So we pushed it to the side. Did what we could, which wasn't much. Called AAA for a tow truck. They came in about 30 minutes. But while we were waiting at least 6 people, with muscle cars asked if we needed help or if they could help us. That was real cool of them. One was a Catalina 421ci Blue 1962 or 1963, my father knew him. Car is just beautiful. Like new. Another was a Dodge pickup truck, with 3 Ladies in it, towing a early 2000's Honda, all done up. She asked if we needed a tow. Most if not all of the, asking if we needed help, were driving GM's. Did'nt make it to the Car Show Swap Meet. But still had a good time. Got too Hang out with Dad, off the side of the road, in his 1963 Dodge Polara.
