Don't your kids play soccer in the States? I can't believe the lack of soccer common knowlege here.
The World Cup is huge apparently everywhere but in the US..lol.

Depends what part of the country you live in Frank. Soccer is huge here in the northwest. A number of the coffee shops and bars will fill up with soccer fans for Champion's League play and of course the World Cup.
It's pretty big in Cincinnati as well, but not like here. It's also a younger generation that likes it. Hardly any of our parents played the game, but a lot of people in their early 40's and younger have. The younger, the more likely to have played and to be interested.
All that said, it will still always lag behind football, baseball, and basketball.

No...mine played football, surfs and skateboards...you don't wanna know what the kids at my sons high school called soccer players.
Come on...my son grew up in Huntington Beach, California...
No soccer her in the O.C. ............until the migration of ill...........never mind.
