SHM-CD Hype or the real deal ???

new SHM-CD (Super High Material CD) developed by JVC and
Universal Music Japan. Polycarbonate plastic with improved transparency
is used for the disc surface for enhanced audio offering superior sound
quality compared to US or European
pressings. Listening to this is a phenomenal experience, as if you are
in the studio with the musicians)!

Anyone have any of these SHM-CD's ? I know they have been out the last 3 years and the music catalog is pretty impressive.
I have read rave reviews and reviews saying no difference in sound vs the current stnd cd. The SHM costs 3 times more and up than
the standard cd issue so they better be good since they co$t alot more. Chime in if you have any or have listended to the SHM-CD
and give your input on them....Tks

From what I understand, it's the real deal, but you'd need a super-high quality sound system in an ideal listening environment to be able to hear the difference. So unless you're a true audiophile, I wouldn't bother. I listened to one of 'em on a "decent" (but not "incredible") soundsystem in a studio side-by-side with a normal disc, and I couldn't tell the difference.

I am getting so deaf I can barely tell the difference from a 8-track and CD lol too many concerts and races
