Good luck on the 75! Is it yours orginally? They are fun to restore, and fun to run around town.

SK, I want to ask you a question about sizzlers. Do the older cars still hold a charge? I mean, can they run still? I was thinking about getting one or two vintage ones if they still work.

    Thanks

    Jimmy

It's actually my G/F's bike that she learned to ride on back in the 70s. It's going to be a lot of work, but the bike is relatively intact. As for original Sizzlers holding a charge, doubtful. Used to be you could find one or two here and there that would work after you cleaned them up. Now, forget about it. You could always get the reissue cars that were released a couple of years ago if you just want the "look" of the old cars to race without the hassle of cleaning them up.

Ahh.. Sounds like a fun project. I'm sure it'll clean up nice...especially with some fresh paint.

Hmmm I was thinking that the batteries would get shot after that long. I did buy the re-issues. Gotta break them out before they start going bad. How about those other Hotwheel cars that have the pull string (can
t remember the name right now), or the revvers? Those still work?

    Thanks alot SK

The Honda CT70s were the rage in my area. I didn't have one, sniff, but I do remember them.

Revvers used a rubber band and you wound it up using the knob on the back. I remember getting one of those back in '73. I thought it was totally cool!!!!

Reissue cars are a blast. Break 'em out and go for it!

I think I'll be tearing them out this Christmas for both of my boys. They will lovem. Doesn't do any good in a box in the basement. I think I have every re-issued piece they came out with. It'll be fun! Thanks again
