What was your first concert you attended?

I was reading on the Facebook, Ozomatli page a question they asked and thought I would ask it here also.
How many of you remember your first concert? Who'd you go see?

I believe mine would be back in about 1969 or 1970. It was to go to the San Jose Civic Auditorium for the Ike & Tina Turner Review with the Ikettes.

My first concert - Waysted opened up for Iron Maiden on the Somewhere In Time tour. This was back in 1987. I was 17 and a senior in high school. There were several concerts that I wanted to go to prior to this one, specifically Metallica opening for Ozzy, but my mother was very protective of me. Now that I have kids of my own, I can understand where she was coming from.

I started off big. It was the Worlds series of rock at the old Municiple stadium in Cleveland back in 78. TED NUGENT, THIN LIZZY, ACDC, AEROSMITH, JOURNEY, SCORPIONS are just a few I remember who played that day in front of 66,000 spasmos.

I don't remember if it was my junior or senior year in high school (83 or 84) my aunt and uncle took me and my cousin to the Coliseum outside of Cleveland to see MSB (the Michael Stanley Band). Back then they were the biggest thing in Cleveland. They hold the attendence record at the Coliseum and Blossom Music Center (our outdoor pavilion). They were known for outdrawing the Who, I can't remember if that was for the Coliseum or Blossom.
