Default help with a Monogram 1/24 S'cool bus

Dropped by a local hobby shop today and spotted an original Monogram 1/24 model S'cool bus that apparently was brought in as part of a recent collection buy.
Had to buy this...box was a reseal but nothing was ever opened inside.
Of course I wanted to get more info on this kit but so far an internet search turns up nothing, not on TTP, not even Ebay....how can this be?
Has this ever been reissued with the new wave of tom Daniels kits? (this is not a reissue, you can tell its very old)
If it is an oldie I might not have the heart to build it.
    Any info appreciated.

    regards,

    jeff

I believe it was issued several years ago mid 90s along with the red baron

Yep, I have a built version of the reissue. It is a great kit; congrats on the find! I'll bet the box art is cool...

Yeah, been re-issued a couple/few times now. I have an orignal 1970 built-up, with the box. Got a large collection recently that had that one in it. Love that model. There was also a 1973 issue which you see a lot of on eBay. Then two other times, 2003, and can't recall the other.

I'm going to post a picture of it tomorrow ....I actually bought it because I thought it would be fun to build with my son....just saw one on Ebay Australia for $80 bin but it's too cool to just let it sit in the box.

I built early issues of the T'rantula and Vandal awhile back. Build it.

Believe the first issue had a 1 piece body with artwork for the box top. Later issues had a 2 piece body with the built up on white background box tops. Both box styles have been reissued.

Thanks to all who replied, took me a while to upload pictures, had to use the card reader on my home networks' printer.

I think the box art is just as cool as the kit, even as a reissue it only cost $17.00

I'm definitely building this as soon as I finish all my other projects in progress....in the meantime I'm not letting any of my kids smurf with it.

I've had this error since the 80's, they actually realized their mistake and issued it again with the right engine on the box, read about this in vette magazine back in the day so I bought the first one I found...they often turn up on ebay.

Once again, thanks for your input.

Since yours is a more recent reissue, I agree you have a builder there, and at a very fair price. The only thing those reissues are missing is the transparent amber window strips commonly referred to as the "cartoon kids", with have been reproduced and show up separately on eBay from time to time. Worth a few bucks to order and I think it adds to the authenticity. ~Phil

LOL ... Have one of those "429" Corvette kits myself, still sealed. Bought it when I saw it at the store back then, knowing it was an error. Evidently, everyone & their brother did too! Not worth much more than it cost then. Can't win 'em all!
